Alaska's legal and now everybody's brother wants clones

Alaska's now legal for adults to grow 6 plants, but there won't be dispensaries or any commercial component til 2016. We've had a legal medical program for a while now, but there's no legal medical dispensaries either (maybe there's a few, but there's no established legal medical industry in AK.) So while people can legally grow, there's really no place to get clones, legally.

I've been a legal medical patient/grower here and have grown from seed for the three years I've been in state. I imagine I'm not the only grower who's suddenly getting requests for plants from friends and thier friends too, and I'm wondering how to handle sharing my genetics with friends of friends.

Giving away to friends is no big deal, and I'm not a hoarder. I'll share the best of what I've found, like this JTR:bongsmilie

But its been a lot of work, and for friends of friends? Well I wouldn't mind a little compensation, not to mention the costs of seeds, soil pots etc.

We can't legally be paid but I'd accept a donation. What's a reasonable price for starts? :eyesmoke::eyesmoke:
 
I'm in a non-legal State, so I've sold a few cuts for $100 each, which in the grand scheme of things is a fucking steal. Legal State dudes will chime in, but I'm thinking maybe $25-$50 depending on the quality...
 
We are almost legal in Oregon and I too am getting requests. I always take more clones than needed I just gave away 7 I didn't need out of my last batch. I'm with you on getting some compensation in the future, selecting good genetics and purchasing seeds is an expensive endeavor.
 
Hmm Interesting. Who wants to give away their hard work? On the other hand if you're greedy they might just steal it from you. I never deal with friends of friends myself those are the ones that throw you under the bus. even in a medical state some clones are 100$ 20-50$ seems to be the norm. I traded clones with my friends a while back its a good way to get spidermites Imo.
 
$25 for a clone which can produce endless amounts of weed and seed is an absolute bargain !! .......... Compared to cheap car, a clone should be atleast $100 ATLEAST!!

















it gets complicated putting a price on mother nature ............ Its free yet priceless :)

the only problem being is that if someone like you grew said clone and flowered it at the size you flowered that other midget shit excuse for a plant then you would only yield 3-4 grams. That's makes for an expensive clone

Yes, EVERYTHING is more expensive in AK, everything except salmon!

I think y'all are on the right track, ~$25-50 per rooted clone. Or a deal of a flat $100 for 6 starts, the max allowed per person...

Id go 50 a piece. If you give someone six and still have a mother then your over your limit. 50.
 
I just traded a seed to be mothered for the prospect cuts if it sprouts. I don't need to germ or veg the damn thing, just go take cuttings when i want, hopefully he knows his shit and keeps it clean, love the barter system. We're non legal and cuts are usually $50+, most people want you to buy multiples.
