AK47 auto day 22

I have this auto AK-47, this my first grow, the humidity was low below 40 the first 2 weeks, my fault. She’s super short 2 inches, going a third set of leaves. Using a viparspectra p1500 at 18 inches away. I see new growth everyday, but I know she’s super short and small. Using 2-1 FFHF mixed with general potting soil, with extra perlite added. Fabric 3 gallon pots.
using fox farm nutes trio, witch I didn’t start until this past week. Temp is 83°/Humidity is 45% with light on, and 68°/50% with the light off. Any pointers or tips are welcomed. Please don’t hurt me too bad, it’s my first grow.

Don't know to much about that light but your internodal spacing is directly correlated to the amount of photo energy available to the plant. If you got too much available she doesn't have to stretch to get what she needs so she'll stay smaller but her branches will be right on top of each other. I bet if you look at your center stalk those leaves won't even be 1/4 inch apart. You can try dimming if that's an option or raising your light a few inches.

That's what we're here for, all of us had to start somewhere.
Most of us are genuine, the trolls are still around but getting to be fewer of them.
Be sure you have a fan on her, lightly right now. Where your leaves are so close to the soil, it can create wonderful place for mold and fungus to grow.
Personally I'm only able to guide you with the basics, I don't grow in soil, we don't get along. I grow DWC in a way that earns me some(a lot) of criticism but they can't argue with results.
Welcome to R.I.U.
Catch a cloud if you can, and pick af many people's brains as you can.
Also for all new growers I recommend a copy of Ed Rosenthal's Marijuana Grower's Handbook or Jorge Cervantes' Marijuana Horticulture: Medical Grower's Bible. I'm not affiliated with either of them just a Shit ton of good knowledge. The first one is the official course book at Oaksterdam University.

Awesome! Thank you so much. I’ve read a little bit about DWC, but hey man if it works for you, screw the haters! That’s usually jealous anyways. Thanks for the fan suggestion, I do have a small 6” blow dow on her. That’s probably why I’ve been lucky if fungi. I was at 18in in my light, pulled it up to 22”. Never thought of the common sense of, if she has all the light she needs, she won’t search out for more” Now I’m wondering if I should pull it up farther, I can get it 36” that my max. I will look into these books as well. Thank for the help!

It is a bit of a balancing act, too close=too dense to far and she gets reachy. I try get my nodes about an inch apart. See how she does at 22". Be aware she will double to triple in size after the flip.

I grew photos about 20 years ago. So I know those doubled in size at the very least. First time for auto for me, I didn’t realize that these would do the same thing?! Good to know. That makes me happy, being that she’s still so short. Thanks for all the help. I will update in a few of days.

Harder to determine the end of the stretch with these autos forgot we were talking autos. 24" is the tallest I've had so far. 30"wide

if its an auto, surely the fact that the nodes are closer together is a good thing. there bread to be compact and thats what its doing.
theres no streach involved with the growth of the plant from start to finnish.
i would myself, leave it as it is and keep the light as close as possible, as long as the light spread covers the whole plant.

are you worried about the rate of growth being so little at 22 days old??
why are you feeding her? that size pot should keep you going for quite some time, i wouldent be feeding her, but i dont know that soil, maybe it needs it, but i doubt thats the case.
if you keep feeding her, your setting yourself up for soil toxicity which leads to problems later on in its life

Yes, that my biggest concern is that it’s 2.5 inches tall at 22 days and only 3 inches wide.seems super tiny to me. Like I said before I know I stunted it’s growth with humidity issues during the first couple of weeks. The nodes are literally quarter of inch apart, maybe closer. I know they are suppose to be short and stocky, but if it’s suppose to go into flowering in 2 weeks it will be like 5 inches tall if I’m lucky. That doesn’t seem right either. I’m quite anal and it’s my first time, forgive me. Lol. I’m using Happy frog mixed with regular soil 2-1, and added perlite. I’m following the fox farm feeding for soil schedule based on the week my plants are in. I diluted it down like instructed. Like I said, new to this. Thanks for any help and tips!

Also, I wanted to try lst, but being this short and small how is that even possible, and they say to start during the 3rd week...

as dank says. probably just a runt. thats the ruderalis in it i think.
you may wish to germinate a second seed and see how it go's on another run keep the runt out of curiocity, but i would germ a second one

It’s been about 10 days since I last posted to this thread. I realized my humidity was still too low. She’s growing like a champ now, she’s been growing an inch a day the last 3-5 days, but unfortunately starting to pre flower too. At 6.5-7 inches now, just hope I get a little something off her. Tucked her leaves to give lower sites some light. I was going to LST, but thinking I’m might let go, it’s so close to flowering. Any suggestions or tips for this newbie? Lol

I didn’t know she would respond overnight. Thank you for the advice, I went ahead and staked the other 2 outside ones since she responding well to training. Don’t worry, she just got feed, she’s a little droopy...lol56823A9B-82AA-433D-B5AA-86F11B900083.jpeg134C4E27-DD89-4207-8FEE-F8ACD21C2636.jpeg

I did a little more LST but I’m done now, I think I did it right. I’m at day 7 of flowering, seeing lots of white pistils, but when do I actually start seeing bud formation? And am I at good spot for 7 days in flowering? Yes, I’m anal and a worrier! Thank you!
These are mine on day 7 of flower to compare I switched on the 1st the buds don't start showing for 21 daysIMG_20210405_235526.jpg
