AK47!? AK48!?! same!? diff? wtf?

so i got 10 AK48 seeds from nirvana and was wondering what the deal is, i have read that this WAS the original AK47 but that nirvana just started calling its new crop of seeds ak48? and i have read that its called 48 because thats how many days to flower it (which im pretty sure is a lie) and a whole bunch of other shit... im sure the seeds are primo and all im just wondering if anyone can clarify some of the genetics, maybe some history on AK47 history.. anyone? i have smoked AK47 before and thats why this was one on my wish list.. and it really was one hit sorta stuff... so im hoping my seeds will produce something to the same effect.

I dunno but in about month and a half I will no the difference..Im growing both

they are genetically almost the same plant, but at some point one of the seedbanks gained legal ownership of the title of one of the strains, so the other name came into use.

However anything you get from Nirvana is hit or miss...What I mean is that you can grow all 10 plants and they will all come back different..there is no stablity...I got ak48 from them and ak47 from bc seedking so we shall see

serious seeds has the original.....Just figured id throw that out there....Super smelly and better then nirvana with out a hitch.

if im not mistaken 48 isnt even in the ak leniage..it was just a name gyspy attachted to his cross...peace az

Yeah ive seen nirvana ak48 phenos that smelled fruity....AK should smell far from fruit its more like getting slapped in the face with a nap sack full of sweaty buds..I could even smell my grow with a coal canaster its rough but one of the best smokes.

well maybe i dont have THE ak47 .. not great news butttt at least its still weed..

i also got WW and hindu kush from them... any comments?

Nirvana ak48 has a good pheno just gotta find it for the price of their beans its worth the search...Most breeders are $75 and on up to $150 cant really beat seeds that give good smoke for $30 any way you look at it you got a steal...

heres how it goes..at the seed banks like gyspy who offer genitics for real cheap are creating their ownm strains an only makeing f1-3's tops..they do no work to stablize the strain....this means probley gonna get several phenos per pack but its all still good weed...just need to root threw a bunch to get the real gems...peace az

yeah the weed is still good no doubt but you need to find a mother if you want stablity

I got some ak47 seeds from 420 seed company anybody know anything about them?

yeah ive just harvested some 48 and waiting for it to dry, looks nice, but this is my first grow and am just used to crap from dealers. Apparently its parents were jock horror and ice and i think it is buzzier than 47, the one i harvested was at week 9 of flowering the other is still going on week 10, but i had light issues for the first week. also if you look at the over grow strain guide it seems to get good reviews

Gypsy asnt nout todo with Nirvana.
AK48 was named AK47 up till around 2000 ish when the court case happened for copyright.
However most people find AK48 nothing like the real AK47.
It is believed these are not even mere F2s but a copy of the same genetics?
Some of the romours as well!
AK47 F2 , Afghani Kush Hybrid 48 , Afi kush X Ak 47

Not sure what Mau as said to date but as never said either!
As if he answered the 1 question he can upset some and vise versa?
