Per hr during the 18/6 ?15 mins on maximum. and obviously turn it off when you go in
sorry, per hour. i'd start with 5 mins per hour and see how they react. that bulb is no joke. nothing like a reptile uv bulbPer hr during the 18/6 ?
Or 15min during 18/6
Right on. Ive read different methods, just trying to get an idea from someone who has actually tried it during vegitation cycle and through flowering cycle.sorry, per hour. i'd start with 5 mins per hour and see how they react. that bulb is no joke. nothing like a reptile uv bulb
i was gonna use it this run but my plants stretched too much and it would have been too close. i used it 15 mins on per hour but only during blooom and only during the 4 hours of the middle of the 12 hours on. kinda simulate how UV is strongest from the sun during the middle of the day
BTW, I just set my timer to only run 4 (5min) cycles during the 18hr on cycle. I'll monitor the plant growth and hopefully it won't stunt the growth rate and again this application is more of a deterrent for PM than anything else. But hey if the plants prosper then it's a win winRight on. if anything, it will harden them up for a longer dose in the future.BTW, I just set my timer to only run 4 (5min) cycles during the 18hr on cycle. I've tried everything short of using a sulphur burner.if anything, it will harden them up for a longer dose in the future.
have you tried neem oil to combat PM?
luckily (knocks on wood) i only had it on some squash in my outdoor greenhouse. i was too late with the neem oil.I've tried everything short of using a sulphur burner.
PM typically rare's its head in flower so I'd like to get ahead of it.
I implemented UV lights on my incoming air intake filter and discharge filter during my last grow and it certainly helped but I was still chasing it with Lost coast therapy.
I have researched them and they do work but can be a health risk. I know that the uv lights are too but I won't be in the room during the on cycles.luckily (knocks on wood) i only had it on some squash in my outdoor greenhouse. i was too late with the neem oil.
i wonder if setting up an ozone generator in your room would help? you've got to have the spores somewhere if it keeps coming back.
Two fixture's seems to be working, I have to return the 3rd one, and hopefully they'll have the new shipment in.luckily (knocks on wood) i only had it on some squash in my outdoor greenhouse. i was too late with the neem oil.

Hey man, in everything I've read about using uv it's a no brainer. If it combats PM and promotes more trich build up and terpenes then I'm all inI got a flower power set up from solorcure coming. Can’t wait to see what this up is all about.
I’ve read that they are potent lights. I run my flower tent over night. So I should be sleeping when the uvb comes on.Hey man, in everything I've read about using uv it's a no brainer. If it combats PM and promotes more trich build up and terpenes then I'm all in
Just be careful, I was using a pair of UV safety glasses for our UV curing stations from work while I was trying to get my light fixtures working and last night and today my eyes feel like I went through a sand storm...
did you have the 4' or 2' bulb? how far from canopy did you run it?sorry, per hour. i'd start with 5 mins per hour and see how they react. that bulb is no joke. nothing like a reptile uv bulb

When I 1st installed my uv fixture's I st set my timer to run 5 min on every other hr. Unfortunately the last on time I screwed up and they remained on for 4hrs. It certainly shows in the old growth but in the new growth it's fine. I'm currently in veg but the fixture's are 4ft above the canopy's. I'll change the schedule once I'm in flower to more intensity in the middle of the 12 hr on. Good luck with your setup.did you have the 4' or 2' bulb? how far from canopy did you run it?
none really its quite strong, go for the 2ft one if you can, but if you must use the 4ft, please only use 1How Many agromax Uv 4ft should i run in a 2x4 tent ?
Thanks. Im thinking for last to weeks 15 min on 45 off , during 4 hours a day with the lights Also on. I didnt know it was too strong for a 2x4ftnone really its quite strong, go for the 2ft one if you can, but if you must use the 4ft, please only use 1
