a green house. grow would all be done at the same time. yeah it prob was 50 pounds DRY easy. so he had 72 plants. 5 patients and the care taker so total 72 legal. but he had plants in another house . plant number over. and hes allowed to have 15 ounces total. way the hell over. 50 pounds. whole sale is 120000 years pay. expose to cash one plant out at a time. stay legal. broke the law time to pay. 50 pounds was stupid.

That sucks. Sorry to hear that lionden. Didn't they set the precedent in one of these cases what's usable or are we talking the wet whole plant fresh out the ground?

Anyway to fight that in your case lion? U get a good lawyer?
It was in 2008 when the law was still very new, it was a smash and grab no charges ended up being filed against me, just a long list of items seized, and yea I have a lawyer retained just in case...since then no problems but one inspection by MSP everything was ok and they left. Been really lucky so far but that's why its important to keep legal and have a lawyer to ask any questions to.

Not to be a dick, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. But, really? Broke the law, time to pay? First off there is enough in that article
to lead me to believe they were not over plant #'s. The woman was a care giver and very well could have had 5 patients at the greenhouse
grow. The 12 at the house could have been the guy's who got busted. And the fact they are investigating other people leads me to believe
the warehouse grow could have been someone else's entirely.

I learned from own experience not to believe shit in the paper. When I read about my own bust they threw around huge numbers. According
to them the "street value" of 30 something lbs of beasters was near a 1/2 mil. then they added a zero after the actual amount of cash they
took. The readers of the paper, including my own friends believed them.

They would have been over on useable amounts, big deal. This is a med state that has to import just to meet it's medical needs, let alone it's
recreational needs. These people are good for the state economy and good for the average resident. This bust did nothing to stop the demand
of MJ, just the supply that would have stayed in state and supported the economy.

Yeah, actually I agree with you now. They should go to jail, have everything they own taken, and cost the taxpayers 100's of thousands instead.
Do you have clones of whatever you are smoking?

Man I've heard of 2 other people getting smash and grabbed. One guy came home to a note on the door lol. House was destroyed. Shit was gone. I wonder what the deal is. Cops not wanting to let go? Getting that sure fire tip on a grow spot and having to back off get their panties in a bunch?

I thank you lionden. You are one of the ones it Appears was in the group of people that gave leo such a headache and made them back off. Leo didn't wanna fuck with cardholders for a while there cause it was a very fruitless endeavor. That was cause of people like you who had to go trough hell. Thank you again.

They do chose to enforce them though.
That's my point, its a job. If you went to work and told them "Hey I'm not working because I disagree with the work itself" your out of a job. Like I said there are some bad ones who take things personal and some good ones who just do there job. If there were no police at all it would be the wild west, everyone you ever had a problem with might as well have just shot you because no one "Enforces" the law.

Hey I feel ya and personally agree with you but it opinions don't matter in a court case unless we are on a jury.
Yes police math is grossly over stated and has been wrong in the past.
I'm not sure of the market stipulations you make and i know for a fact a few exporters in the medical scene.

But to claim 12-15 ft greenhouse plants and 50 lbs of processed, which lets not bs means trimmed cannabis isn't outside reality. We are fucking growers, and we know these yields are not by any means outside the norm. In fact I'd expect more. This is a commercial operation. I'm not against it, the law is. Is it a waste of time, resources and these peoples lives? Yes.

I think all of this just went over your head man...

Its not fruitless for the police to do raids without charges pressed or convictions made. Police pretty much get to rob your house for cash, valuable possessions, cars, ect and get to keep it all no matter what the outcome is in the long run ....

I agree with you but every town that has a dispensary and have not done a raid are choosing
not to enforce, and I like them the best.

Idk what they took in liondens case but in the case I know details of they didn't take a whole lot. Alot of the equipment was gone but not all. They tore up every room in the house but didn't take much else. He kept his house he kept everything. Only lost the grow and got a note that said call such and such number to go fight it. That's gettin away with it IMO.

Lions and the case i describe above are just a few. When I worked at the shops I heard of a couple older people Having issues and coming out on top.

In the world of the cop boss he can't arrest and prosecute all these people if they keep winning and not having to pay huge fines. They gotta spend their time elsewhere.

I've been hassled with a few times but it always just goes smooth. It goes this way cause these cops know that it's not an ez win anymore hence the fruitless endeavor comment. It's no longer a home run when you catch people growing. People have fought it and won and that makes it easier to win again. Cops don't like to lose they will go fuck with somethin ez.

I myself am about to embark on opening a dispensary in the D after the November house bills pass (Well if) and I'll be sweating it everyday wondering if I'll get robbed or busted! I still may back out of the deal but so far it's looking good.

Dispensaries generally have the blessing of the community, follow the rules and pay taxes. Hence why there are fewer raids. They are attempting to be legitimate businesses.

That's the plan, however I have to admit I am wondering if the police were truthful here in this case? I personally wasn't there and cannot make any assumptions. I follow the laws in place and if anyone else doesn't and gets caught well they made there choice. This is a scary step for me regardless.

Rule number one, police are the largest legitimate gang. They are sanctioned by the state, and usually have a hard time understanding. Hence the reason for courts to figure out the facts and law.

Rule number two, don't trust the police, don't expect them to be ethical or fair, and certainly don't talk to them. That's what an attorney is for.

Rule 1: Unions are the largest legitimate Mafia!

Rule 2: You have the right to remain silent. Use it, lol. How many people incriminate themselves by blabbing. Keep your mouth shut and go to the attorney.

Always ask:
Question 1... "Am I being detained?"
Question 2... "Am I free to go?"

If the response is:
Yes
No

See Rule number two
