Hey tek. Much thanks for the ongoing upkeep. I had been on here under a different name before when you first had your first aero journal. But, I forgot that password and shit so I had to make a new one. So now I've revamped my situation and I'm attempting somewhere around my third or fourth grow. My last two or so have been pretty successful between the hps and the foxfarm, but were cut short because of things other than my growing ability,so I'm pretty confident this time around. Just trying to work my way into the community and make sure I have something to fall back on when I need to.
Later on...

hey tek, been following your threads since about january. see Back in decemeber my wife got an aero garden for christmas and we were joking around about how good it would be to grow the "good" green in and she pretty much dared me to do it. so i googled aerogarden marijuana and low and behold what was the number 1 hit? Your rollitup thread on aerogarden growing (makes you a semi celibrity it seems) i read through all 71 pages of your thread (and i just checked right now it is up to 175,625 views gotta be some kinda rollitup record dynamite) and read through many many other threads on these boards on the subject of aeroponics. I have lately been follow this thread and decided (with the blessing form the lil lady, since it is her garden :P) to make an aerogarden attempt with the lowrider 2 strain.

So I contacted the good doctor (thanxs for pointing him out got my beans with no hitch popped them into the garden, unplugged the light from the figure 8 socket, set the garden to salad greens (which seems to be the general consensus for germination), and covered the lil aero seed baskets with a towel (to keep the light out just till i see some sproutage). they seem to be sprouting nicely ( i did have to turn over the seeds in te sponge thingy no big deal though) i have a few questions for you or any other aerogardners out there

1. After i see some green what garden setting should i set my pumps to? i know there is answers out there but everyone seems to have there own opinion to the answer of this question and i would really like to here teks answer.

2.What kind of light cycle to veg do you use? Once again i know this has been answered many times but there is so many different answers to this question i think my mind is gonna melt.

3. How long after i start to see some green should i add the nuts.

4. On the subject of additional CFL do you buy full spectrum bulbs or just the generel run of the mill hardware store bulbs? The full spectrum bulbs they sell at the local pet store are very expensive (about 47 dollars for one bulb) so i was wondering if it really matters. But they have some really crazy ones that are like 18" long CFL and i was thinking those may really provide some nice additional light coverage if placed vertically along the sides but i havent purchased them yet. was curious what everyone thought about them.

I know alot of these questions have been answered but there are so many different opinions out there i would like to see teks response (especially since now i am done with the research and ready for the hands on)

Damn can't believe you read all those pages! haha awesome! I think It may be there in the record books too... LR2 is a good choice...

Seems like you got the right idea....which aerogarden do you have? the old classic or new pro 100 or pro 200?

1. After i see some green what garden setting should i set my pumps to? i know there is answers out there but everyone seems to have there own opinion to the answer of this question and i would really like to here teks answer.

You can set it to pretty much any setting...it really doesnt matter...but if you have one of the newer aerogarden you should set to the 24 hour light/pump cycle and simply buy a light timer and plug it into your socket, then plug an extension multi outlet to it and then plug the aerogarden and any extra lights into the multi outlet and set it for like 16/8 or 18/6....

2.What kind of light cycle to veg do you use? Once again i know this has been answered many times but there is so many different answers to this question i think my mind is gonna melt.

See above answer...I use 16/8 works out better for my situation and convienence...

3. How long after i start to see some green should i add the nuts.

I use the fox farm nutes right away and I follow their schedule but half the dosage for the first week or two...But you could start to use nutes pretty late into the grow if you wanted but I don't see why...A man by the name of Zoidberg has got an awesome grow going of LR2 using no nutes just tap water and it's going great....As long as you keep the PH steady 5.5-6.5 you'll be fine....Its a lot easier than you think...

I bought regualr cfl's I guess...you want to use cool white/day light for veg and warm/soft light for veg...Only use cfls not incandescents....the more cfls the better....

I know alot of these questions have been answered but there are so many different opinions out there i would like to see teks response (especially since now i am done with the research and ready for the hands on)
Hope this helps good luck and thx for the comps....

Peace

Think it said classic on it so it dont have the extended reach lamp neck. I am hoping with the low rider seeds i will have lots of room even with my 14" neck.

i am a noob i didnt relize that my PH was gonna be that critical i just dumop some 7.0 well water in but i do have some PH down laying around i will give it a shot and hope it keeps it down around 6 ish.

This aero gardening is really cool the wife did some herbs in it before i plopped in my beans and it is a really neat system. I am playing around with the whole aero concept seen all the DIY videos and i think i am gonna attempt a shelf stacked unit. i plan on having 5 removable trays spaced out about 12" apiece but they will be shallow trays only a couple inches deep with spayer set ups inside. then i will have a seperate fluid resavoir containing the pump . Gonna try some strawberries in it at first just to make sure it works then i will be able to remove the trays and give my self about 24 inch clearance between the trays and try another batch of lowrider.

anyhow enough about me and my pipe dreams... how much longer till your harvest tek?
you have to be getting super close. they look they are gonna be some decent aero producers.

Becareful using well water I heard it is not good.....but if youve been using it for other plants it may be ok....

If your using the AG nutes then PH upper or Downer might not work because the AG nutes have a PH buffer...

Well good morning my little aerogarden enthusiests....

Today is Week 7 +1....

Everything is going good! I'm pretty sure vertical growth has stopped or at least has slowed down a ton...

The buds seem to be getting bigger and the plant on the left is finally getting trichomes...

Also the plant on the right is starting to get a bunch of red hairs....

20 more days my friends!!!

I'm about to cut a bunch of the lower stems....for two reasons...

1. theyre not getting much light and are probobly sucking energy from the rest of the plants...

2. So maybe I can have a little for 420!

I hope you all Like....

Peace
-Tek

P.S. My buddy just harvested 2 misty plants in his aerogarden on his first grow ever, he gave me a couple buds and they look awesome....I'll def be smoking those on 420...

Growing from the age of 16 currently in coconut .. hydroponic cultivation here becomes much,,,,

You can explain how the appliance ...

Have to measure the pH or ec and makes it the only?

Pills that come for the vegetables to grow grass worth?

Product ranges that you have there? Range of products that works well for the device?

That production deg x watt light obteneis with this device?

You may marry another lamp over power 600w ..?

There is a forum in which Spanish have a thread of my cultivation, you can see it .. and say even in English ... you you have to register ..

Just the other day a buddy of mine harvested his very first grow using the aerogarden very basic, only 2 xtra cfls, splicing hood, fox farm nutes, ph meter...

He gave me a sample, it was Misty seeds from Nirvana....
It smells lemony with a peppery after smell...

Can't wait to smoke these on 420!

Take a look tell me you like those crystals!

Hey Tek,
I just got an aerogarden 200 pro... i got some white widow feminized seeds as well and started growing. So far after 5 days it seems to be growing well.

I just was wondering if you can give me a list of all the tips i need.

For example I saw you added lights, is that necesarry?

How much yield can be expected from this?

How many plants can I have growing at once?

when do you think I should start flowering?

If you could please answer this + any other tips and advice you can give me since you have become a pro at growing w/ the aerogarden.

Thanks

extra lights would be an added bonus .Yes they are needed
yeild its hard to say . it varys
I have 4 in an aerogarden ..I'll tell you its too many ..I'd just do 2 at a time
Flower after you top them after the 4th or 5th node (branch)
i would add a 3'' airstone and pump to the water and also fill the res to the brim nevermind that fill to here thing ... Good luck ...

Thanks buddy I really appreciate it.

Now the lighting system is different on the pro 200 it has 3 CFL's putting out 1530 lumens a peice. But u still suggest getting more lights?

Do u know what wire I need to get so I can extend the hood even higher?

Can you give maybe an estimate yield per white widow plant? I think I am going to do 2 plants and if I see one taking over I may just do one real good (or is better to have 2 mediocre?)

Are the flowering nuts good? They are N-8% Phosphate- 15% Soluble Potash- 17%

You can use just about any figure 8 wire . (an old radio.. If not radio shack has them) I used the cord from the 1st playstation

I have the 3 light hood and also have 12 Cfl's going around them also .
I used the tomatoes nutes at 1/2 strength
I'd say between a 1/2 oz to 2 1/2 oz I have no clue as to what your yield will be there are a lot of factors involved
