well Alex what i was thinking about while i was freaking out was (what would happen if the dead roots damaged the roots that were alive.) I mean the dead roots will turn brown and damage the good roots, making the water yucky and forcing the girls to drink shitty water.. Thats what i was thinking about. So it made a little bit of sence o chop the stem off and do my best to remove what i could. ill let u guys know what happens for future growers.

yeah man that makes perfect sense.... i think i just freaked out cuz im high. but I reread what lurk wrote and it doesnt sound that crazy...

lol... i kinda want to delete that post cuz i sound like an idiot but i will leave it there to prove to all the kids watchin...

Alex:

Its not the pollination thats a problem, its the root rot risk. Roots aren't too hard to untangle if you give them a gentle tug. You wont get 100%, but trimming your roots is fine anyways.
keep cutting them, see what happends . . .
Why would i keep cutting them?? The only reason i cut them in the 1st place was because i had a male roots laced together with my female roots. So what i did was cut the male roots out and pulled the left overs out very carefully so i wouldent have dead roots contaminating my rez water.

now i have 2 hairy healthy ladies doing just fine. :leaf::weed:

I was at walmart the other day, saw a can of Schultz Rooting Hormone.. (liquid, not powder)

1) Is that a quality brand? You guys used it before?

and

2) Can it be applied to seedlings/young plants, to stimulate root growth and development?
Possibly dip a toothpick into the hormone, then rub it inside the AG Sponges or something...

click on "Go Advanced" and there is an uploader, you can use for pics on your computer, i wouldnt trim anything at this point, there look good, maybe get some more CFL's in there,

thx SICC, i'm going to trade out the two 26w/100w cfls for 40w/150w and see about adding another. that'll give me 4 40w/150w cfls plus the AG. i trimmed out some of the large leafs to get more light lower but it seems that the 2 tall staulks were growing more then the rest and not bushing out like the smaller one on the left.

computer jockey for 15 years...Hahahahaha
