well for now im only doing one. so im gonna string a bunch of compacts around it. Would it be ok to use the small connector piece that plugs a bulb into an electrical chord

I wouldn't. If you can try and find one of those bathroom fixture with 3-4 bulbs, then it can be placed H or v. easiest though to take the time and build your own WAY cheaper.. and easy. Bulb + socket from HD was $10 . This way, you won't have miles of extra wires in box.

Sure, but you'd have heat build up. How big is your cabinet? That will determine what lights are best. Besides, I'm prejudiced for CFL's*lol* While they do cost more to purchase, they are way cheaper to run. I figure I've saved $2K in 2 yrs..over the costs.

You've got room for more than 1 . If you want yeild look in to SOG Hempy Cloning.. The long road will get you more nug.. To keep her short you'll need to start pinching young and tie her down...The pinching will lenghten the grow time a bit . While all that is happening, start a mother and go for the gusto. Just this evening I transplanted 32 DP clones into a 32lx18wx8d tub. The ladies will get about 14-16 inches tall.. 1 bud from top to bottom...

what you are using is sun film and is way better then mylar well not way better but better you can wash it and it is more reflective it is reusable a little tip if you want a hood then you should find a shape you want and find in your area a sheet metal shop and have them press it for you what ever you do please make it out of aluminum it is easy to drill it is also a great heat sink and easy to punch holes in holes for the lite sockets hell have the sheet metal guy do it for you for a shop to press the hood and punch the holes where you want them should cost less then $100.00 closer to $75.00 thyat is a cheap hood and presto all the other thing can be found localy just make sure you ge the wiring correct so you dont come home to a burned down house.

That would cost me 500 for my new batch, and another 5 for replacements!! I can build 3 hoods for $20!!
I just got back from HD, got some 42W 2700K bulbsI'm going to design a hood for my style grow. I also found the IDEAL sockets also. The kind from bbig commercial building sites. @ wires run under the top, then then the top is screwed back down. Under the top are 2 SS points that puncture the wire cover for connection. They are rated at 660W and @%)volts plent strong enough. These will make it so simple to wire in as many lights as wanted, as close as wanted without all those screw in splitters, which are dangerous as hell. These sockets are $2.50 each.

I will take pics of every stage of the build, and when I find out where that missing security token went..I'll upload the whole shebang.

Some where on the bulbs should be a Kelvin rating..Either 2700K or ^500K . 27 flower, 65 veg. .You'll need more than that if you want more than 1.imo. Have you read my last post?
