Admitting the awkward

I learned to drive a stick on a '95 impreza coupe. Wasn't an easy one either. The last year they made FWD optional. Drove that thing for 5 years. Got an automatic '00 Frontier after that and was like wow this is nice. Never went back to sticks again. Or cars. The coupe was this weird awkward girly looking green blue color.

I’m not into sticks either. Before I sold my ‘69 camaro, I had a new stroker i built for it and had plans to put a manual valve body in the TH400. I ain’t got time to use a clutch :-)
Admittedly, I havent had one in years either. The last half dozen or so vehicles I've had were all auto. I learned to drive in an old ford f100 - 3 on the tree. My dad used to take me out in it to collect my paper route money until we got pulled over, lol

I learned how to drive a stick in a mid 80’s sAab. Was my commuter car for a minute. Learned the hard way on the streets of San Francisco and the car had a hydraulic clutch and had a leak in the system. So you had to pump the clutch a couple times to be able to shift. That sucked.

That has to be the ugliest colour ever.

I enjoy a good SBD crop-dusting when grocery shopping with my wife. I am responsible for pushing the cart so it works out perfectly. I can time it so that I release as I am walking away after she loads stuff in the cart. One rule: I never dust in the bread aisle. The bread aisle just smells so friggin awesome I can't bring myself to ruin it.

my mom has an old discovery II 5TD with automatic.... that thing sure makes me lazy when I drive it too long, then my old Sentra (Pulsar in USA market) seems like a chore... even if it is the lightest driving car you will ever find. It is like ballet shoes.. (great ride after I spend $200 on new rear shocks last month)
