I just got stoned so bear with me on this........imagine if you will a microchip they could inplant in humans that would enable a 10 year phd to be learnt in a 1/20th of the time? I think they spend too much time achieveing the label and not enough time being allowed to solve the worlds major issue's, cancer, herpieghonnasyphillaids, etc ya know?

My high school principal had a PHD. Guy was a total ass, and got shitty if you called him "Mr."

Seriously one time a parent called him while I was in his office.

"No this is not Mr. Yattayatta. This is 'Dr.' yattayatta. Now how can I address your call" And he always had to emphasize the "Dr." part, like he was explaining to 5yro why he's better than everyone else.

I guess I hang with the lower echelons…. I don't know any doctors on a personal level. Well unless getting a pap smear is personal.

I think if, at a party, for example If I was introduced to a dr. as "this is dr. Fuquad," then I'd just say "nice to meet you." and move on. Anyone I have to call Mr, Dr. or General, I don't think I'd want to hang out with.

IMO even at your practice if you have pantients call you a doctor means you are a somewhat poncy little twat.
