Adding blue light spectrum to Led light?

I have an extra light with a all blue spectrum that can clip to my LED, can I use them both at the same time during veg to help them get bigger and stronger, and could I do the same with the red light for flowering?
 
This is the other light it has 3settings red, blue, and multi color. I was thinking that if I added the blue spectrum while they are young, it help strengthen them and help them veg out faster.

From my understanding, the plants won't really need/use blue light during flower, they need that red light you talked about. I don't see why adding some supplemental lighting would hurt, but I would say if anything try and put it on the side of your plant or something.

They do need blue light but white COBs LEDs and Boards have plenty. The proportion of reds should be high though.
 
just asking, what about the older hype of added blue for more resin,thc etc.?
like people using a hps for the last week or so.
 
yep MH, sry, my native language use other terms for it.

But basically, adding blue at the end of the flower, yes.
So whats a good plan?
more red when bulking up, mid flower
more blue to the end for more resin
?
or simply give a good ratio of added 660nm and 420nm? maybe 3:1
 
HPS has very low amount of blue and enhanced horticultural bulbs bring it to about 15%. MH and CMH have plenty of blue as do phosphor white LEDs. MH lacks reds to make big fat buds but they are gooey and wonderful.
 
I was looking at the new QB 18 V2 by HLG.

4 Blue (B) 470nm
4 Red (R) 630nm
6 Deep Red (DR) 660nm
4 Far Red (FR) 730nm

All on the same board. 39 for the 22.8" board, for $39 its not a bad price. Thinking about grabbing the QB 11 660 deep red for $25 for a 22.8" board which is a GREAT price, dropped down from $49 for black friday dealzzzz I think. Figuring out the driver as we speak!
 
Narrowing down my options with the budge I have. Waiting for scynce to drop their black friday deal so we'll see whats up, bodhi beans are also a great price right now!
 
The HLG stuff is great and I have plenty of HLG boards, but you really might want to poke arount the cutter electronics site for exotics or custom strips. They have crazy boards with all types of ultra efficient and/or cool colour combinations.
