Psychology is science like cooking and boxing are sciences. While hard science may be used, it's still subjectively oriented. Hard science is not.
For some reason you seem offended by the term. It's just a way to classify the fields, don't take it personal. You're a strange one about this.
Ftr, my mom is psychologist and she's extremely intelligent and good at what she does. She's not offended by her field being classified as soft science.

soft science is an invented term.
psychology is chock full of testable predictions, controlled experiments, quantifiable data, mathematical models, and high degrees of objectivity and accuracy. those are the components of science.
if you would like to actually provide some examples of this "subjective orientation", please proceed so that i may tear your examples a few new assholes or just generally point and laugh at you when you are unable to provide even a single example.

the edit was to add the anecdotal that people who practice soft science refer to it as such and are not offended by it at all. You have lost a screw over this innocent term used to distinguish fields.
It's not racist to call it soft science, you have issues.
It's not fake, it IS however invented just as any other means of communication we have was invented by someone at some time. Strange dude.
I didn't realize you were so emotional about a term to distinguish between the sciences, but you'll be frightened to learn that there are even sub categories of hard science like math, physics and soft science like psychology and sociology. Those are also words that were invented at one time. Try not to cry, it's really not that bad.
What is your issue with the term soft science? To those of us working in science fields it's a non emotion evoking word like toaster. ZOMG, TOASTER..........
