Thanks man. Helps a lot. Just waiting for the setup I returned to reach the guy and once he refunds the money its DIY time. Still on the fence on the 2x Vero 29 or the 2-4x Vero 18 setup you mentioned. Leaning toward the 29s as I plan to just add 2-3 more to my space in the future for a DIY only flower tent. Maybe I overlooked it but I found the 18s and 29s both 3k with different CRI and lm ratings. The higher CRI had lower lm and vice versa. What's the difference? I was thinking the higher CRI would be better but I could be wrong.

The higher CRI versions are not as efficient. A few members here have made absolute power distribution charts based on the datasheets, and showed that those high CRI (90+) sacrifice a ton of good light to get a tiny amount of far-red.
They look good relatively, but absolutely, they look almost like the low CRI version with filters over it.

Appreciate it guys. I honestly didn't realize there were multiple versions of the COBs until I started soaking more info in. Some of this stuff is like a foreign language to me. Mental block. Ha

Gotcha. 80 CRI it is. I'm ready to get the ball rolling. Need more flower power. These 2x rw75 aren't cutting it for 7sqf. I know CXAs are more efficient than the Vero29 but as far as end results go would you say I'd see the same or close to the same with either?

Been doing a Lil thinking sense the guy is slack with the refund. Leaving the 2x rw75 in tent and put 4 Vero 18s in the corner running at 1.4A. That's 165w Vero 18 plus 155w a51= 320w total for almost 46w/sqf. I want to mix more diverse spectrum in. What CCT would be best alongside the rw spectrum for both veggin and flowering that won't crazy stretch but still BUMP UP YIELDS 3500k, 4000k? Or would 3000k still be the best choice? I usually veg with the reds off the a51 if that helps.

3500K is slightly more yellow than the 4000K, while 3000K sticks out of the bunch as plain yellow-orange.
Go figure right?
I've never played around with A51 lights nor Cree but I do have experience with the Vero lineup. 3500K has to be the best light to use throughout grow (some will disagree).
Most will agree 80 CRI is best.
As for the rest, take a chance and experiment. I'm positive you will do just fine.

Cool, it'll just be an experiment to see how the different spectrums blend together. All these DIYers making it look as easy as boiling hotdogs. I just hope I don't find it to be too hard once I get started.

i just gave my pal my recently ordered veros29, he threw 4x on 4x4 (approx i think), he says - damn much brighter than his 600w HPS, and really believes in it
Running at 1.4amps...
Nice. But next time you feel you wanna give away Veros feel free to slip a couple my way. Ha. What color are they, 3000k?

Yeah I've seen multiple times people saying the tap broke off into the heatsink. Not saying I don't ever wanna drill and tap but I'm looking to go another route this go around. Saw something bout paste. Gotta do more digging on the different ways to bind them to the heatsink. Veggies? Gotta see that. I put a tiny mint leaf under my blackstar 135w UFO and it got bushy quick. One day I plan to do a tent full of veggies.

I was thinking of growing some cherry tomatoes but I still need to do some more research on them, as I've never grown tomatoes by myself before.

I've grown a tomato plant once last year outdoors but the bugs ate my shit all up. Had it in a bad location. I was able to get one ripe tomato off tho. It was better than any tomato I ever had. Organic too. So juicy.
