3500btu's of a/c per 1000watts of light will sort you out, and get some water chillers, the chillers will protect your investment, personally i would leave the room at 90 and run co2, the plant love 90F with co2 and just use the water chillers, i found a guy on ebay with polar bear chillers for 400$ 1/3 HP will cool 100gallons of water atleast 25degrees

Pickle the magnets will get you caught quick so do not advise people to use them on thier meters. Setup looks nice clones look rough though lo. This will be a good one to watch. I dont have the heat issues you have using my cool tubes. In a 4x8 tent setup 2 1000 watters in it have a hard time getting temps above 80. Your gonna have a heat exit issue though. You say your venting to your attci right and you want to vent all that hot air out via turbine fans. The issue with that is the heat signature which depending where you live could be an issue. places like west coast, upper East coast and detroit they scan alot of heat signatures and look for heat plumes..If your in the mindwest or south your ok for the most part on that.If the high electric bill doesnt bother you then a 2 mobile ac units will solve your heat issue as they can be rolled around and set to go on and off at any temp and some have built in dehumidifiers/humidifiers cost about $400 at home depot. To see if your ballast are digital it should say on the box but either way its easy as digital ballsts weight about 8 lbs each old magnetic weigh a ton compared to the digital ones and the digital ones run both mh and hps without a switch. They give up to 30% more light and have no hard starts and no heat is given off.If you got a make and model number Ill tell you if they are digital or not.I didnt see or not but you did insulate behind the new walls with at least R13 insulation and a vapor barrier correct as that will help the heat issue as the metal garage door will also bring heat and condensation to the room . And if it condensates behind the dry wall black mold will be a worry. Also make sure your lights on table for flower will be during the night so the hot day sun wont be added to the lights heat. Also look into buying some fli flop switches. They are used alot by dutch growers to alternate lights to save money.stop heat and save bulb life. Works very well google flip flop switches.Hope it goes well and hope only you know where this is. ps got money grab some solar panels.

I also forgot to ask. Since it is a garge does it have insulation in the attic above it good 8 inches so the attic heat isnt just making a convection oven effect

That can be an easiest way to get caught. I would not use magnets unless the savings is worth prison time. I ran the numbers and this set up would cost $1000/mo (lights only) in electric. ouch!

Whenever datacenters have trouble keeping the place cool, they break out the BOF (big old fan).

i used to work for the local utility company, and we know every trick in the book, do not fuck with the meters, every meter reader has very good training in knowing what too look for, only way around your meter is stealing the power, and thats worse, the power companies love the customers with higher bills who pay on time, also with the consumption they may put you into a wholesale usage type with a demand meter, which is not good when your residential, the thought process is they know what a house that size uses per month and you are either doing some kind of commercial veture from home (where they come in and give a new meter) or you have an illegal apartment, inwhich they would want you to add another service....9k in a garage is not cool, im not trying to hate on you brother, but way too suspect $1000/mo...get your usage to $500/mo and you will be able to sleep at night

wont be as bad if its an attached garage with same meter though as it will all be same address for the meter. Rule I always went by and have seen many places is figure 1000 watts per bedroom in your house and that keeps you under radar so also have to figure your house hold usage into that so 4 bedroom house 4000 watts is cool in the breeze. A simple grid tied solar system though can help on this one. Spend about $25 grand and that would feed alot back into the system and help keep your bills and usage down alot

and a big plant will mature just as fast as a small one if there enough light for it

Not true... a small plant WILL mature faster... I have the same strain, same res, diff. sizes side by side... The 3ft plant took at least another week for the tops to be the same maturity and would have been another 2 to 3 weeks before the bottoms ever compared...

the only think that i think is better about growing like you is that in the end you will have more choice nug cause you wont have any underdeveloped bottom nug and thats the only thing your settups got on mine that ill admit

The BEST way varies.. and things can be done successfully many different ways....

Just because you do really good with one methid, does nt mean the other isn't just as good....

Anyone getting over 1gram per watt deserves Kudos... my op meets that standard on a mediocre day...

Those look like magnetic ballasts on the first page and dutchfunkle everybody has to start somewhere

Lots of fucking haters on this site 9 aint shit. I would recommend that you take that air con out of that window cause its heat score plus you can get smell leakage. Also try and make a perfect room with a 2 fan 3 coil chiler should cool down that room real nice. A co2 burner and co2 meter/computer to set ur ppms around 1200 if its ur first go. High electric bill doestn mean anything unless they got othe evidence, try running it during the day as its way harder for copter to catch you and try and figure out when your meter guy comes by to read so you can cut down the lights to 4 lights for those few days that he may come by. They usually tell you on the bill, when ur next meter reading is.

I fixed my heat problem by running ducting thru the attic right out the house, I also put in a bigger ac in a closet haha..

How often are you flooding? The hydroton looks very dry...

about 5 plants died so far but i got a few extra to put up...
I will be cutting all the big ones next week, to make them the same size as the rest.

whats the water temps look like? 100 is too hot , the plants are gonna try they're best to just survive in those temps let alone be vigorous and strong, maybe bigger a/c and run co2 and try to get temps into the low 90's, with the c02 they will thrive, i know you invested a ton so far and to protect the whole investment, may have to spend more cash, but with room temps in the 90's, the water temp will not be far behind and that will get you root rot, i knowi said this a few posts back but the water chillers are a great idea, not so great when you have so many rezi's to fill, good luck

instead of putting the plants thru stress, bend the tallest grow tips over, squeeze the stem and fold her over gently for the sake of an even canopy, plus this will get light to the lower part of the plant, unless your topping just for multiple colas. your main concern though should be the temps and water
