mygirls, thanks for all the info man. I'll be starting a grow journal in a couple weeks when I germinate... This weekend, though... It's time to build a box!! 4x4 is a bit too big for where I'm thinking about, so I don't think I'm going to aim for a monster this time around (I'm just a young whipper snapper, I've got years to perfect my art!).
Anyways... I'm thinking about thin cabinet backing-style wood for the box. Would you recommend just building a frame and wrapping mylar/panda film around it instead? The only drawback I can figure out from mylar/panda film is that I can't attach things to hang off it (I plan on doing a crazy sprawl of CFL's on this baby... HPS is for subsequent grows).
The cabinet-style wood I see at home depot is coated white on one side... It's obviously not the reflectivity of mylar, but it's still white.
I wouldn't do BOTH (wood backing + mylar), just for cost reasons...
