details on that? what strain was that (or at least species), and how long was it veg-ing for?

just curious. I can't decide whether to do a 5 gallon or 7 gallon bucket.. I guess with a 7 gallon I could just keep topping the plant if it was getting too tall.... decisions, decisions..

That is the freebies from Attitude seed bank and its G13 Power skunk. I let it veg for 2 1/2 months and its been about 1 month and a week in flower

i just started flowering a purple kush in a 7 gallon pot.

i think the more room the better they can do.

also dont just start it in a 7 gallon bucket start in a cup or something to a 1 gallon to 3 to a 7.

that way^ you can control what it eats and stuff.

and i beleive you want tall and skinny as opposed to short and fat bucket/pot for your roots to grow in.

imagine veggetating it until next outdoor season then putting it in the ground filled with nice soil and stuff for it.

youd have fdd2blks plants looking like little tiny things.

too bad most people cant grow giant plants like that

that is one nice looking plant. but think about what it would have been in pots like mine. if you notice what i mean about the branches growing past the roots. about 2ft past on yours and on mine. im really high right now so i hope im making sense. a plant is always going to grow past its roots structure. thats going to yield nice their. + reps.:weed:

Yea I am going to use bigger containers for my clones when they get alittle bigger. No sence using up all the nutes on huge buckets now.. Thanks for the compliments. Its actually my first grow. I started with three and all three are now in flower the other 2 are about 6 inches shorter then this one.

I'm heading to home depot /etc in a few days to buy some materials to make a grow box. I only want to grow 1 plant (just for me :) ), but I figure, why not just grow a big one and get all that tasty yield for myself? I've got room in my basement that I want to just sit a box there - separate environment and such...

So, let's say I want to use a 7 gallon bucket, and I want to get a nice big plant (yield over 5oz from the Super Lemon Haze seeds, which are a sativa dominant). What dimensions would you recommend for me to construct this box? I'll be using many CFLs to grow this baby (yeah, I know it may not be such a good idea, but I kind of got a bunch of CFLs for free, so it ends up being cheaper for me). With using CFL's, I would imagine that I'd need much clearance from plant top to the top of my box. I plan on just putting CFL's all over my plant, using lamps , sockets, etc... to just smother it.


Anyways - what would you recommend for dimensions? And what sort of yield are you hoping for with that plant you've got now (the one that is 20-something days into flowering)?

ok a 7 gal bucket i would build it 4ft by 4ft by 7 ft tall. this will give you room for a OH MY GOD PLANT. if at any time you need an extra 12" you can block up your grow box and cut a round hole in the bottom just the size of the rim of the pot and drop it in the hole, that will fix a potential over grow of a well build box. veg for 2to 2 1/2 months and you will have a monster. and for my yield about 1 lb dry. good luck and keep us informed. :weed:

my2nd grow was 7ft tall 5 plant under one 1000wtt hps.

Really? Hmmm. Makes me think of the possibilities. I have 1200 watts right now for the three in flower and another 1200 in veg room for clones and seedlings mostly for outdoors in a week or so. But if you can get 5 7 footers under 1000 watts. I could get alot in I have 9 600 ballasts for personal use.
