Now my 2 questions, I ran the light for 30 minutes and the glass around the bulb was still cool.....i pull from the tent, through the light, to the carbon filter, is this right?
And are these all the nutrients i need to run my hydro system, sorry not looking to run 5 diff types of bloom nutes until i know just what i am doing. No need to nute burn my first grow =D

Any suggestions on how to run the vent. The room is a AC room in my house...i Havent hooked up the 2nd inline fan, i just opened the bottom vent flaps, and heard this is pretty effective at eliminating heat and negative pressure.

ventalation- carbon filters are most effective when used inside the room/tent, so pull air through the filter instead of blowing air out of it, so filter-cooltube-exaust, hook that up and close up the tent for a day check your min.max temps and if there within 72-79 and no more then 10 drop at night you dont need the 2nd fan, if it gets too hot you could run your filter from one fan, and one fan pulling/pushing air from your ac room into cooltube and out a window or into addict to keep temps down. since you have a empty tent its a perfect time to test run your setup.

thanks, i actually re-configured the venting before checking this, but i did watch a video...lol i did it backwords...i felt silly....i did...and ill still be using the other inline fan for some good co2 exchange =D

Got my dwc system in today, and got it up and running.
Well tommarow i have my order lined up, found AMAZING genetics..

White widow, Pineapple Express, Blue Dragon, and Green Crack.
Scrog is on like donkey kong...

So far i only transplanted one, because i was having some Ph issues, and had to dump and reset, scrub, the whole system. But so far P.Express looks healthy in the dwc....Now for pics!

Looks good man i like the setup. Ill be interested to see yeilds im also in a 4x4 with 600w but in soil. I happen to have pe and ww going now too.

we can compare yields near end, but what week are you? whats your soil mix? Im just going to veg this under a net for about 5-7 weeks, really scrog this out, but im still working out tent issues my self. How are you venting yours? and what temps are you getting?

Right now im vegging under t5 but plan on flowering under the 600 on sunday. There about a month old from seed i have g13 pe, ghs ww, world of seeds afghan kush, world of seeds mazar x gws, and big buddah cheese. There about a foot tall except the cheese is stunted due to messing roots up during a transplant.

Im using straight promix in 2.4gal airpots. I vent filter/hood/fan/exhaust my temps range 75-79 with a 4" 200cfm fan and passive intake.i do also run a 8k portble ac in the room my tents in my house doesnt have central air.

Im just growing them natural this run first time with these strains. I just took cuttings tonight so i can keep my 2 favs around. But i still have seeds so i can find the best pheno of my favs

lol i was looking at the wattage on that 8k,and 830 more watts is pretty out of the question. I do have central air, but its probably just because im venting right into the room. Im vegging under a 600 MH. i dont have any T5s or CFLs and honestly dont plan on buying any. Im a medical patient sb215 so i have several local clone dealers

Ya it sucks lol but until it starts getting colder out I have to run it. Another kicker for me is when im on my 12hrs of dark (finishing up my last few afghan goos right now) I have to run my dehumidifier the whole time to keep my rh from spiking up. Thats another 716w lol. Still saves us money from the greedy ass dealers these days and nothing better then blowing something that you grew.

i woke up this morning and wow temps @ 90 degrees. Threw the window open and dropped the vent out rofl LIKE NOOOO. dropped temps down to normal and then some. So need to seal the window. Only thing that sucks is the window over looks the main street. And i have alot of senior neighbors who are very nosy and mean (they called Home owners association on my dog because he wasnt on a leash once). So this whole tent does need to be quite,odorless, and light proof. Had to drop some ice bottles in the reservoir to drop the temps down as well. But the Pineapple Express looks so much healthier this morning than being in that little crap cup it was in. Off to xplant the other 3.

how are the bottom vents working out for passive intake?

i'am without inline fan and venting yet using 600w hps ac'd room then 1 fan blowing hot air out of tent sucking cool ac'd in

i have a carbon filter sucking air at the top through my cool tube out the tent through a window, then at the moment, i need to go buy more duct, just another 6'' inline fan giving a intake. I have a question, do i need to make my tent more air tight for better air flow? temps are stuck at 80, i am probably just going to hook my inline up to the AC duct in the room later today

also my wife leaned on a plant during the transplant, and snapped blue dragon right in 1/2...its dying right now, taped it up to a stick. On monday i am getting another one...lol...shes more mad at her self than i ever could be...

Just open the flaps on the tent as a passive intake. No need for a intake fan. Put a thermometer in your room the tents in. find out your ambient temp because your tent will never be cooler then it. No matter how many cfm you pump into or out of it.

lol seriously? thanks man, thats pretty funny actually....stressing over my set up. but i still want to drop my temps, water bottles piss me off ...sitting between 79-80 in my dwc..plants look rocking tho...

thought i would share these pictures then i will update next week, my blue dragon didnt make it, but i am getting another on monday, everything else looks good. thanks for all the help

sorry i havent updated this thread in so long, but i thought i would share some pics since its been 14 days in veg. Plants pretty much exploded and will probably fill the net up nicely in 7 days, then the first 2 weeks of flowering. Got a new water chiller a while back, and running double air stones, and double air pumps. PBPB 15ML/4L-CalMag 5ML/4L - H2O2 7ML/4L - and i give a squirt a day maybe like 1-2ML. great great great white root growth sitting in that 68 degree water all day.

Also alot of upgrades to my tent, i added another 6'' inline fan hooked up to central air to keep temps a cool 76-80 all day. Also added new air stones new air pumps, and another larger water pump to run the water chiller it self. the return line shoots over the control bucket to aerate the water even more. The system also has a new pump for the drip lines with a new filter so it doesn't clog but once a week. i usally clean it every 3 days for optimal use. I also ran the return lines to free fall into the top of each bucket to aerate the water more in the buckets...ya its ridiculous, i had a 6 hour power outtage and they never drooped once. All and all they grow new branches every day, alot of twisted growth from all plants because they are growing faster than nature intended. Enjoy the pics. ill update soon.
