5x5x6 vivosun tent or diy 6x6x6 room?

I have a dedicated shed for growing in my new house. I'm insulating the walls and adding drywall (the frame was up with mesh and bamboo posts, so everything went through). Should I make it a flat white room or add a grow tent inside? My only fear with the room is bugs seeing as it's kind of in the middle of my backyard in the dirt.

I run a tent and an "open" area that is 5'x7' with flat white walls, HLG 600 in both instances. I personally prefer the open area to the tent myself. Not as confined when moving around, seems easier to control ambient temp and more air circulation. Have a great day. TC

If you get a tent, skip the Vivosun.

There’s only one opening large enough to work with on their tents 5’ or smaller.

Those Cloudlabs well made of heavy duty materials. If the single opening works for you they’re looking good. I can’t use one without at least the front and one side that can open.

I wanted a 4x4 at least. I may just use the open room and do a test with 1 plant to see if I have bug issues. I want to use a hlg diablo scorpion

That's prob what I'll end up doing thanks. I like the diablo scorpion light too much to spend money on a tent and change light that I want lol

Heck, that makes the decision even easier; I'd never sacrifice a top quality light for a tent.

The main material is heavy duty and the zippers are the smoothest on any tent I've owned but the vent cover material is pretty crappy and there is pinhole light leaks on all the sewing seams on the vents cinches and light leaks coming through a significant portion of the seam sewing around the top of the tent.

A box of binder clips and some panda film. But my cheap Ohuhu has little leaks like that and I don’t have any problems from it. Unless you have a lot of light on outside the tent during flower I’ll bet you’ll be okay.

Yea. I don't really have to worry about light leaks at all really. I just had to replace a worn out cheap tent that lasted about 5 years before the zipper totally blew. I mostly use it because I want reflective walls and am too lazy to frame out rooms ; ). Now I wish I went with the gorilla 5x5 because it has side panels.

My cheap Ohuhu has openings on 3 sides. Zippers still doing fine. Metal frame. When I say cheap it was $72 delivered. Up some now thanks to Trump’s tariffs.
