5th Week Flowering, Buds Still Swelling, Little to No Trich, & CLAWS

You could certainly lead that to the lack of trichome production thus far?
You said you started flowering about 5 weeks ago so I made an assumption that you didn't actually see white pistils shooting out until 3 or 4 weeks ago maybe. When I look at your plant that what I see. Different strains will have different growth spurts including trichomes but I don't see a ton of trics on any strain at week 3 of flowering. The great news is the aroma usually doesn't kick in for a few more weeks also. But Nitrogen toxicity hurts bud development so if the growth is stunted some that isn't a huge shock.

The buds seem to be growing still though, hairs are still reaching so I assume its a sativa. The plant has stopped stretching luckily. It's just I don't see ANY trichs at all. It could be strain dependent but damn.

@SPLFreak808 I think I may have figured out it's aphids. I'm now almost in week 6 of flower, are there any simple ways to get rid of them? I bought some mosquito dunks, and some fly tape and have trapped hundreds of them on the tape. They have gotten a lot worse recently. I'm letting the soil really dry out. But what can I do? A friend recommended a very light hydrogen peroxide with water solution to spray the soil.

Post pics of those bugs stuck on the tape?
Aphids are no joke.
