5gal smart pots have to be watered almost every day.....thoughts on vermiculite?

Like the title says... my ladies are on their 5th week of flowering and they definitely have a little bit of moisture stress.

Thoughts on mixing 25% Vermiculite/75% roots soil for the next grow to improve water retention?

In my experience verm and perlite both dry out faster than a decent potting soil with some actual clay/silt. I know for a fact that hempy buckets dry out much faster than the equivalent sized soil grows so I can't imagine verm/perlite contributing to water retention. Both of those are great at improving air circulation/availability to the roots but due to this they loose H20 much more rapidly. I'd recommend stepping up to larger smart pots if daily watering is a problem.
