5.9ph in and 6.5ph out?

Was having some trouble with my girl and used a buddys probe to test the soil. Was reading around 8 so I flushed earlier with distilled water at 5.9 pH obviously using pH down. The runoff was 6.5. Going to start regular feeding with lotus bloom Monday or Tuesday and a little calmag. Just wanted to make sure I was going in the right direction. Plant was showing signs of just being hungry. Light green leaves, brown spots, brown tips. My very first grow and almost 2 weeks into flower. Just trying to make it to the finish line. Any advice or help is appreciated guys

What’s your PPM on the water? I see a ton of people using cal mag for no reason, it can block other nutrients or hold too much in soil. I’ll attach week 3-4 flower of a Hindu Kush I got going now.

list your nutrients out we can compare notes
Was just gonna use the calmag because of using distilled or spring water. New to all this shit man so just been kinda doin tons of research and buying what I think I need lol. Haven't even really started feeding yet. Just did a. Feed like 6 days ago which was 1/2 tsp of lotus bloom

Your soil PH is high but if you’re back in 5.8-6.2 range you’re solid. Runoff can be more 5.5-6.5 in my experience soil will alter it. Different mediums as well.

When you say “light green leaves” I’m assuming you mean old growth? New growth should always be lighter than old especially around flower sights. Tips are curling or slightly burnt could be too much nitrogen, you also notice lots of purple on the main stem from burns if so.

Depending on bucket size sometimes I have to water every 48H or they get super thirsty. For example I’ve got a 3 gal bucket now w a 5.5 ft. flowering in it. Gotta water every 48H or she will droop and make weird leaves for a short cycle. 3-5 days. I don’t like huge buckets though, some people do. Control size and get more dense for me personally doing a seed pot to 1 gal to 3 gal letting each stage completely take space.

in general during flower I run 4-12-6, with king crab beneficial bacteria and 50% recommended mycorrhizae per 5 gals. Sometimes I’ll boost higher phosphorus content. Always based with New Earth Smart Tea. They’re out of Louisville, highly recommend.

oh Shit that’s probably all it is, if you’re getting into 2-3 week an not pumping some nutrients they’ll definitely get hungry.

here bro, this what I use for flower going to list generic label you can find some brand of it everywhere:

run a 3-12-6 bloom base use the recommended amount, dyna grow sells by bulk if u wanna save $ but lots of options here. Splash some 2-15-4 for weeks 2-4, but just a little keep your base. For vegetation I use 7-9-5. Tons of options on that too.

run mycorrhizae and king crab beneficial bacteria, at 50% recommended dose. always. Really pumps your phosphorus uptake out the roof and water retention around roots.

find a smart tea as a base to always use when watering. Always. There’s a billion options but it’s important to your soil.

there tons of options on mediums pick one and study it and how it changes things.

How much water did you use for flush? The few times I've flushed for suspected root zone problems I've found ppm and ph don't settle out until 3 gal or so have gone through. Especially ppm will start dropping then climb again. I keep flushing until ppm is below 500. My de-chlolrinated tap water is around 170. Once I'm satisfied with runoff ppm, ph is usually about the same as what I'm putting in. Then I give a final slug with a mild nute mix and microbes. Favorable results so far this way.

Haven't created a thread about what my runoff or anything yet. Posted earlier about what my supposed soil pH was.
Ya, but it's close and you could have just added on to it. It just saves people including you from repeating things you've already just said. The pH pen and fact you're using distilled water and FF soil are a few things we could have got just reading your other thread. Not trying to be a dick, it's just helpful.

Just trying to cover my bases here. I've only been doing this like 3-4 months now. Started off in FFOF and perlite and potted up to a 5 gallon about 40 days ago. She just now started showing signs of new growth with light greenish yellowish leaves with burnt tips and brown spots on old growth. Been watering with distilled and sometimes tap and distilled mixed every 2-3 days. I just flipped about 11 days ago. I have recharge, calmag, lotus bloom, and pH up/down. Just started really getting into all of it a week or so ago. Learning more and more on what I need and what I need to do everyday. Don't have anything to measure EC or ppm yet. Tight on money so buying what I can when I can. I get anxious over certain shit and my brain runs 100mph trying to perfect everything I do including this plant I've put so much time and effort in over the last 4 months or so so I'm just trying to get the best experience I can guys and hope to keep growing because it's definitely a passion. I do landscaping and tree work for a living so that's kinda where the growing came from to begin with.

Have you added anything yet? And since you're using distilled water you need to supplement with micronutrients if the soil doesn't have enough. Those plants are hungry.

Just fed once about 5 days ago man. Nutes I got are supposed to be loaded with good shit I just wanted to make sure my pH was good before I kept feeding which now I know it's ok. Or I think atleast but gonna feed in 2-3 days a full dose and maybe add calmag?

Just did a slurry test. Soil pH around 7.6. Should I just continue to water... feed....water and pH down every time? She's 12 days into flower guys and you can tell she's definitely hungry. Whether it's from the pH or just deficiencies

Whenever I've seen someone chase ph in soil it just doesn't go well... Do with that what you will.

I've seen alot of people saying they were just chasing numbers. I feel like that's what I'm doing. I guess just go with my feeding schedule with how I planned and hope she makes it to harvest?

Appreciate the advice. Just gonna keep making sure my water pH is good and feed with how I planned. Thx
