4x4 grow lights on a budget?

Hello all,

I haven't been on here for years and just getting back into the garden scene. I am looking into getting a 4x4 tent and was thinking about the most important part. The lights! I have a small veg room going with the new viparspectra xs1500 pro and looks to be a really good light for the money. Showing minimum 800 PAR value on edges for a 2x2 area.

What I was wondering is if I should just get 4 of these xs1500 pro lights for my 4x4 area? I mean all the other lights I see for a 4x4 area that have similar PAR value is like $500-700 lol. I know it would be nice to have one big light that controls it all but I am on a budget and cannot spend the $500-700 on a light right now when amazon has these for around $85 with coupons making 4 of them to be around $350. Anything around that price is 300-400 par on the edges.

Is there something else other than PAR that I should be looking for in these more expensive "light bar" lights?

Budget lights have come a long way
I got the 480w of this one and keep it at 65% In a 3x3
$50 coupon

That's just a quick breeze though Amazon's budget options. I've had good luck pulling direct from manufacturers lights on ebay and they got a good number of phizions every time I've looked. If your patient or willing to have a few lines in the water and be stuck with an extra catch it's not a bad way to go

Thanks for the links! With all the products on amazon I am not sure what is good or not anymore haha :P

It is such a tough decision lol

I need a good light for a 5x5 with UV and good eficiency. I'm trying to keep my wattage/amps down so lights with the most power draw from the wall isn't the most important to me but lower power usage/higher output/ppfd etc is. Any suggestions?

I took a look at those and it would work if you got 4, but they don’t have daisy chain capabilities (can’t wire them all together like 1 light). IDE personally wait for something like that to come by, but anything works.

dank man medicgrow are good lights i have 2 EZ 8's youll love it, and it will absolutely work great in the tent.

Can't complain about my Viparspectra XS 1500 Pro(s) -I have two of them....less than $150 delivered after coupon and Cyber Monday sale. It's one of the best reviewed lights on the MIGRO channel. It's small and easy to hang. They can daisy chain. You can add more as needed.

EDIT: I didn't see that you already bought a light...Good luck! :)
