Yeah I was debating to myself what to do, because with the light where it is, its about 14" from the rest of the canopy so I didn't want to raise it.
I told myself I would raise it when that big girl started showing signs of burning or stress.. its now 3 days later almost touching the light and still no signs.

What are your plans to keep the canopy even? Are you going to bust out your other panels if need be? I might be in that situation myself and am topping to try to keep them even and once there recovered I will most likely impose some LST marshal law on them bitches! :P

At this point in flower I am just going to leave it. I dont want to stress them out almost 4 wks in.

The canopy stayed pretty even by itself until its final stretch during flower, and then it was only that 1 plant that really kept shooting up. Its not really concerning me because its not casting a shadow in the footprint of the light. I was ghetto rigging the light with wire to hang it.. im going to pick up some yoyo hangers here int he next few days though so its not such a pain to adj the height lol

I picked up some Rachet Light Ropes from Amazon and was impressed with how easy it is to raise and lower. I heard that the yo-yo's are only good if you get the nicer ones because the cheap ones don't catch and can be frustrating, I can't say for sure but that's what I'm reading on the reviews. I would imagine you could also angle one side of the panel down slightly every so often if you wanted. I'm impressed with both the BS 500 & the HO panel and will defiently pick up an HO when I get a veg area going, but may even toss one in between my flowering 240's, that or the 500. I guess it depends on how these 240's perform in my space.

When I was placing my last order, I asked how useful the HO was in flowering and I was told it massively helps with resin production, which can really effect the overall weight/density/quality.. so I purchased another HO that I could use dually for flower and veg.

I want to ideally get 2 240w flowers though and have a complete all angle flower, as well as my 240 HO's for veg. I am looking into getting a tent for my next grow so I can better control the ventilation.

If your ordering @ Gotham, talk to Sean and tell him about this thread and he will take special care of u on prices.

Day 34

Got the Blackstar 240 HO and hung it to provide some supplemental side lighting.
Temp is keeping around 83-84 but the plants dont seem to be stressing on it.

This grows looking great man. Glad to see another LED grow doing good. A future word of advice, if you're growing sativa dominant strains and you're limited height wise, scrogging is a very good thing to look into. Sativas have crazy stretch during flower. Most will triple in size and some will quadruple. So if you're vegging to 15 inches and it quadruples in size during flower, because there's another stretch during week 5-6, you're getting a 60 inch plant. That's 5 feet man! I'm sure you'll get some great buds from this, I'm just tryin to throw you a heads up.

I would love to get a decent macro lens myself someday, I have a Sony Alpha A330 SLR but WoW at the price of some of the lenses! I can take macros off the included 55mm lens but I don't think I could get in close like you did. I'll try it out when I get to the bud stage. =)

Hey all, sorry about the delay in updates.
I'm thinking I am getting within the last week or 2 of this grow.

I am looking for a place to get a jewelers loupe so I can eye the trichs, but ill post some pics later today with the macro lens when the lights kick on.

I'm happy to know there were actually some out there watching (:
