I'm pretty sure this is what anybody watching was waiting for (:

Switching to 12/12.. time to flower... 8-9 weeks until harvest time!

Still curious to see what you are going to produce. They look cool and all but $700 for one of those is ridiculous. Especially when you are only gonna be getting a 1/2 to a full zip each plant IMO. I guess that is my guesstimate to your end product. Great looking plants so far :weed:

Thanks I appreciate it (: To be honest I was only expecting about an O per plant for this grow.

I have a limited space to grow as well as small 2 gallon pots, so I can't veg these the way I would ideally like to.

The lights go for $540 from Gotham Hydroponics normally by the way (they are offering discounted pricing for anyone mentioning this thread)

I was f'n around in the garden, obviously not being careful and broke 2 tops last night.

I tried fixing them with electric tape and toothpicks for supports.

This morning 1 was limp and dead looking and the other was looking like it will be okay.

(^^Break is circled^^)

(^^Broken Section^^)

(:^^Survivor Stem^^:)

Ill definitely be more careful from now on!

Day 14 of flower and everything seems to be coming..

This will be my first harvest and I hear all the growth really starts in week 3-4 so I am anxious to see how these babies start growing these next few weeks.

The top I accidentally snapped is doing good too.
I'll probably take the splint off tomorrow.

Looking good bro! Not bad for your first grow! How far are you keeping that blackstar from the tops of your canopy?

Thanks for checking it out and commenting.. its been pretty dead in here lol.

Anywhere from 4-14 inches. I found 14 inches seems to be ideal because the light isnt too strong, and the plants still want to stretch. I was getting about an inch a day in height towards the end of veg.

That sounds about right. During flowering I got 6-8 inches above the canopy. Any closer than 6 is too close

@sleezy - Ideally I try to keep it an even distance away, but one of these ladies feels like stretching for the stars and is literally 3 inches away from the light and showing no sign of stress.
@Blackmesa - Thanks and thank you for the link too! Ill definitely check it out. I would definitely recommend the 500w Blackstar. The plants on either side where the UFO light was the primary light source lacked in size and flowering so far compared to the 500w, so I pulled them out and am not using only the 500w.

i bet 2-3 inches is fine w led! i have plants 2-3 inch from CFL's and aren't LED's supposed to run even cooler?

When I took that picture today, the plant was nearly touching the lens, I would say within 1 inch or so, and as you can see it wasn't wilting away or showing any viable stress.
