420 Penguin's Grow

Had to trim down the young ones in the flowering room. Not all of them were taking off, but H1 was going insane. It was growing 4"-6" a day. This should make them grow more bushy and buy me the week more of time I need in order to get my big mama harvested.

Advice for anyone else. If you're going to grow bagseed, try to grow all of the seeds from one bag. That way they grow at the same rates.

very true. something I learned a little too late. Sorry no pics today. But I do bear good news. My big mama is, I think, ready for flushing and harvesting. She still has a lot of white hairs but the trichomes all seem amber to me.

You can see the big mama to the left. She doesn't look so big because I had to tie her up to keep her in the warm fluoros that I put her under. I don't plan to do this to future crops. This was a stop-gap measure.

I am a bit concerned about how the four other plants in the flowering room are going to react to my flushing schedule. I am following Technaflora's reccomendation. So they will get some magical (1/2tsp per gallon) and a crap ton of Sugar Daddy(8tsp per gallon...that means 2.5c for my 15 gallon setup) for the next three days. Then they get nothing but water for 4 days after that.

That sounds great for the big mama who's finishing. But my new flowering plants are probably going to resent it in some way. The Sugar Daddy is 0-0-0 so I don't think they'll be overloaded with nutes. I'm hoping that they'll just be unhappy with the lack of nutes.

This sugar daddy stuff smells like crap. Thank god I only use it like this for 3 damn days. Tonight the flush will begin.

The four young mothers are either responding to the sugar daddy or the lowered light(once I chopped down their tall sister.) They are budding all over the place and looking quite lively.

2-3 days before you harvest turn ur lights out mate! it will be worth it ive done it 2 differnt plants, i took one and put it in a dark room for 3 days when i opened that door, Holy fuck...... it looked ten times better then the plant under my 600watt.

unfortunately I couldn't the last time. I also had some younger plants that weren't ready for harvest. but I will this time!

The drying is proceeding.

I put in a carbon scrubber and a 80CFM inline fan that outputs to the dryer vent now instead of just putting it back into the main room.

unfortunately I have a little bit of grey mould on the rockwool cubes in the flowering room. I think I need some larger pots so that I can cover the cubes with some hyrdoton. I'll save that for next time.

Also have a new house on the way. So I will have to move the grow room soon.

So this time I moved my plants over when they were the right size. And I think I'm experiencing a very different growth. They grew to a certain height and they have now halted their vertical growth. The bud just keeps keeping thicker and more sparkly.

They still have about 2 more weeks according to convention. But I'm not so great at figuring out maturation via trichome inspection so far. So I'll just keep watching and see what I can figure out.

Also, I can't smoke at the moment. I'm looking for a new job, so I'm just stockpiling the loveliness.

And finally, I am getting confident enough that I think I can start growing some of the good seed I have instead of cloning this bagseed. They've been nice to me, but I'm hoping for some insane crazy twist my brain stuff soon.

yeah you can't leave the end of your jounal like this. Did you leave them in the dark for 2 days, if so how did they turn out. Also what was the harvest like n the bud quality?????????????
