400w Light Probelm...PLS HELP

can anyone tell me if i can buy a 400W hps bulb for it i bought one today the size was T15 im wondering because i cant tell from the way the package looks on ebay but will the hps bulb i have fit the fixture fitting or will it be to big because the fitting i have for my hps bulb looks big...im not sure if im gonna be able to screw my new 400w hps bulb into it im assmuing the size will be diff....can u tell me if my hps bulb with fit that socket even thoe the package is being shiped with a MH bulb......thanks so much for ur help

well friend if you read through the whole ad on ebay you'll see that the setup will take a 400mh or a 400hps! just make sure you shop for the same brand as your mh and youll be laughing!

Most metal halide and HPS bulbs used for growing fit in an E39 mogul base socket. Look at the bulb specs, I'm 99% sure it'll say it's for an E39 or mogul base socket so you should be fine.

T15 refers to bulb shape/size, long and relatively thin in your case.

400w with a 12/12 cycle for 60 days... depending on how much you pay per killowatt hour will run you about $37.44, (assuming you pay 13 cents per killowatt hour.)

400/1000=.4 kw/h
.4x12=4.8 kwh per day
4.8x60=288 kwh
288x.13= $37.44

average pay for texas is 13 cents per kwh and im gonna be running a 400w hps 18 hours should be around $28 every month for running my light thought it would be way worse than that

Yeah that would be low. My 400 watter is 55,000 lumens.
