4 strains finished with no effects

Charface just touched on THC vs CBD so I won't touch that again.

Assuming high THC, if your plants ended up about 4' tall, a 2 gallon bucket is a too small for that size. Go to a 5 gallon bucket - at a minimum - if you are gonna grow them that big. They may have "died on the vine"

Bigger roots = better fruits.
died on the vine? Maybe man. They looked great until after they swoll and loooked finished ( accept for the trichomes still being clear). I waited and waited for trichs to change and plants got crappy with mostly all yellow fans and some yellow sugar leaves by the time I finally chopped. Trichs just weren’t changing fast enough. Perhaps died on the vine. Trichs don’t seem to jump out off the bud like usual but maybe that’s just me playing tricks on myself. They seem maybe a bit smaller and flatter than usual

Not sure I agree with that. Floros, be they 4' T40's or CFL's can get you some good quality herb but won't ever beat a quality HID light ... except in lower heat output.
I agree but in my situation, the cfl were producting better quality than this. Dude was mentioning intensity of light meaning better buds but my lower intensity cfl bud kicked the hps buds ass. The hps just gave me higher yield so intensity isn’t the factor. I’ve grew nice bud in mostly shade that killed this stuff I got now. Just saying has to be a reason these buds are so weak. Most likely nothing to do with the lamp but a mystery for sure at the moment

They do look good so let’s brake it down.. where do you order from?
What do you feed from start to finish?
How do you harvest and dry?
Next run don’t look at any ovules!
100 percent no light leaks!
I order from Seedsman and pay extra to get seeds inside original breeders packs. My main soil mix is Promix mixed with Epsoma organic potting soil with added extra perlite. There’s no nutes in the Epsoma potting mix so I add them. For veg I’ll add either happy frog all purpose dry fert into the mix at maybe 4th strength with a tablespoon lime per gallon. If not the happy frog, I’ll use Epsoma biotone or Epsoma plants tome dry organic fert at about quarter strength mixed into soil. This seems to be a nice base that keeps em green by itself for a few weeks after a repot. Top the pots maybe every two weeks with the happy frog or Epsoma dry fert at maybe half strength. I will use liquid fox farms grow big maybe every 3 or 4 watering in veg but weak at half strength at most. Usually quarter strength. Up pot the week coming before flower in same soil blend. I find adding the veg nutes into the flower up pot gets them through stretch better. I continue to top dress every other week or so at half strength at most. Grow big veg liquid nutes for first 3 weeks of flower Every 2 or 3 waterings as the girls are really hungry first 3 weeks of 12/12. After week three, I go to tiger bloom every other water at half strength..sometimes more depending on the plants needs. The top dress after week three becomes Epsoma bulb tone or happy frog fruit and flower. I’ll stop top dressing after week 5. Stop tiger bloom when plants look close maybe a week and a half or two weeks from finish. Straight water til chop. I use tap water that’s around 7 ph. I don’t ph my nutrient solution but have before and it is between 6.6 an end maybe 6.8 rough guess. I don’t ph runoff or soil as I believe the dolomite lime to keep ph in check. I’ve used Promix blended with ocean forest before..used fox farms liquids with it and big ovules still with that. I don’t burn my girls and never a big deficiency issue. The slightest tip burn here and there sometimes. An issue that’s come along with the ovules..or atleast I noticed around same time is early purpling or stalk and leaf petioles. Seem to have a hard time using phosphorous .org maybe magnesium when young especially. Takes em a little longer to hit their groove you know what I mean? Petioles in general a little darker purple than usual throughout whole grow even when plants found their groove and and are jamming and growing like they’re on steroids

I've definitely had strains that looked and smelled great but just weren't anything special for a high. So I moved on to others. I think genetics mean a lot. You can grow bad genetics well and get ok weed or you can grow good genetics bad and get ok weed, but if you want the best you need to grow good genetics well!

This jack 47 got some good reviews. Claims she to regularly test over 20%. Mine would be lucky to be over 6% is what I feel. I missed the mark. 3 phenos. All trash. Really, everything I grew was trash. First time this has happened and also biggest plant count. Crazy that all plants were duds

man this has been a bummer one grow after another recently. Did cfl only for years and this last grow used hps for the first time expecting better results. Yield is higher but I’ve never smoke such garbage since I was a teenager. Truly, it is the most horrible and disappointing buzz and that’s being nice. Strains are jack 47, blue widow, cheese and chemdawg. Plants all went 9-11 weeks and chopped at all cloudy with some amber like usual. Horrible. Every last strain and every phenotype of each. A dozen shit plants that look great..smell pretty good.taste ok. Frosty. Can’t even get red eyes or a real true high off them. All the same weak effect.a slight tired and annoyed feeling after about 5 mins. I have a mix of indica and sativa dominant plants. All same lame weak buzz. Something went wrong and I can’t wrap my head around it. I mean..I almost can’t help but suspect the hps...never had this issue for years with cfl. Much MUCH higher quality with lesser quality strains. I’m looking at my hps bulb and wantin* to shatter it. Plants looked great..grew great. I’m at a loss. You can smoke 2 joints to the face and not get red eyes or a real high. It’s not an premature high. It’s just a shit nothing feeling. Any input? I’m close to just giving up growing as these last few years have been disappointing. I have an ongoing large ovule cracking bud problem that plagues every crop now so I’m already damn near fed up. I’m running clones of these shit plants and 4 weeks into flower. Debating tossing them back under a 30 cfl bulbs. Very disappointed
Can you post a picture of the trichomes (magnified)?

You are not alone, sir.

Pictured below is a 4' tall plant grown in a 2 gallon pot. They were freebies from "the buddy of a chum who was the pal of my friend." Now THAT'S some trusted lineage, ain't it folks?

After about 5 weeks, they starting to flower while still under 18/6. AUTO'S!! So I grew as normal and started checking the trichomes after 7 weeks.

Beautiful dud.JPG

After 7 weeks, I expected to see trichomes to finish but they wouldn't. 3 weeks later and still no progress on the trikes. Soon, the sugar leaves started to go brown and the main stalk resembled a badly bruised Granny Smith apple. Not good!! I chopped right then, dried and cured and when I went to spark some up - THERE WAS JUST NO THERE THERE. The only thing she accomplished was to fill up my compost.

After chop, I dumped the contents and the massive root ball had grown back upwards and reached the surface of the soil. This girl was severely root bound and died a slow death. 15 weeks of my TLC went right into the Green bin. You are not alone.

On the bright side - the pictures impressed the fuck out of the buddy of a chum who was a pal of my friend

Hate to say I’m glad someone else experienced it. The trichs did end up developing more on some plants finally but they were damn near dead plants by that time. Still, the buzz is pathetic. Absolutely pathetic

The spindly looking plants area the jack 47..sativa dominant and known to grow tall and stretch so looks worse than it is. I think I controlled the height quite well. Last run was a bit stretchier that I just harvested but the plants held their own without support. For me a good harvest weight. Flipped at 38 days from seed and got over 3 ounces a piece from the jacks and nearly three from the dinachem. For me that’s real good. Blue widow and cheese around 2 per
the
2 things....
1) if those are sativa that's even worse, they are too small by far!

2) I guess if you did EVERYTHING PERFECT and cant take any advice than your already at your maximum potential and your buds are perfect. So you need to find differant drugs.

Pick what option fits your life.

Do you have the pics from before you cut it? Are you counting your flower time from when you switch the lights or from when the plants actually start to flower? The pictures you've shown so far make me really think these plants were pulled to early, sorry to say it, I know you have grown successfully before. Flowering doesn't start until the plant begins to form flowers, this is not debatable, this is nature. Counting time is totally irrelevant anyway since each plant has its own time frame to be properly matured.

I've ran sativas that have taken 14ish weeks to finally mature from when they began showing flowers, that means they were under 12/12 light for 16-17 weeks.

Like I said before I"ve had plants that were meh, but I don't think I've ever had a plant that flat out didn't get me high. I don't really care what the breeders say on time frames, those are just guidelines. You already said maybe the trichomes didn't look the way you thought after you posted those other pictures.

I havn't been impressed with any of the Dinafem I've ran fyi.

I have also had the ovule issues in a couple plants over the years. The more I've read about it, the more I feel it was directly related to using fem seeds. I havn't ran any new fem seeds in years at this point, and haven't had any ovule issues either....

He didn’t say none of that what he said was he is happy with his yeild and what they gave him.. he is also seeking help that’s why he created this thread.. so instead of acting like you are the best.. post something that will help with his problem not point out things he didn’t ask about!

Dinafem sucks I also had some that didn’t do much.. but for the fems I only ran fems for long time and never had ovule issues but saw them from other growers

I don't think every fem seed will do it. I'm sure its something related to the specific genetics, and perhaps the fem process makes it more pronounced.

What I pointed out is a factor.

I'm not sure if you saw my other posts or not, but they wernt directed at you so I dont care.

and what I told you is that I got much better quality with less light in the cfl. That right there discredits your theory that my buds are weak this time due to low intensity. Explain to me how is that i up the light intensity, get a bigger yield of denser buds but they aren’t as potent? Riddle me that. I’m just using logic and you appear to not like that. I appreciate your thoughts but light intensity isn’t the issue. Also, them plants aren’t small or spindly or anything. You have no idea the specifics of the grow or how old they are. Were about ten inches when I flipped and now over two feet. These jack plants don’t grow like the plants you grow obviously. They stretch..branches stretch a lot. They will do this directly under a 600 watt hps at about a foot away. This is the best I can grow? No. You’re being an ass man, because I surely stated multiple times that I’ve always grown better and this is the worst. The light intensity isn’t a factor and you think you know too much for not Being correct and making wearing assumptions about my grow. Yes, it sucked and yes you probably have much better bud but youre not right about th light intensity thing

All duds? Unlucky on 12 girls or is it possible that the cheap hps bulbthat came with system is throwing a funky spectrum? Idk. Seriously can’t explain how much this weed sucks and seems all the same. Total waste of time. Mexican brick weed is much stronger
i use mid quality hps ballast and bulbs, and have good results consistently. i use Ipower ballasts, and have been using the same ones for three years with no problems, and vivosun enhanced red bulbs, which i replace yearly. i keep a couple of the used ones for emergency use, but none of them have burnt out with daily use.
there is always a learning curve to new equipment, but a competent grower should be able to get good results with half ass decent equipment. try again.

You flipped small plants and got small plants... growing isnt hard except for the people it is.

This seems very complicated to you and you dont want advice. Good luck.

Your grows fantastic, looks dank, your prolly just a snoopdog clone an your too baller.
