35 gallon totes watering question

What would you do if leaving your grow for a week with nobody to water?

Going on holidays for a week and all my trusted family and friends are coming too. I'm running 2 35 gallon totes of living soil (coco, compost, clay, vermiculite, perlite, worm castings, green sand, live worms, bokashi, organic amendments, etc..) in a 3x3 with a 600watt hid. 3 plants in each. Will be in 5th week of flower. Room stays at about 70-75°. Exhaust runs 24/7.
My question is this: Should I (1) overwater tons the day we leave and keep fingers crossed that things don't completely dry out while on vacation? or (2) setup a pump on a timer (would need to get gear)? or (3) expand my trusted inner circle and have someone water/check in to be sure it's all good?
I'm experimenting with how long they can go without watering now before I leave...

Do you have someone in your circle that you can trust to water and not abscond with your stash? That'll be your best bet if you don't want to chance it.

I let mine go 6 days between waterings on one similar occasion when we went away. They were late in veg and the leaves were severely drooping but within a couple of hours after apologizing and watering, they perked up and looked good as gold.

They are pretty durable - and surprisingly forgiving - creations.

I took a two week vacation once and my cousin that was supposed to water them only did it one time. They looked pretty thirsty when i got back but they survived. That was in 5 gal buckets. I'd over water and leave it at that.

I have a vacation set up with a pump and lines and a Brute food grade 35 gallon bucket and a aerator and a digital timer. I have to set it up each time. The hardest part is setting up the lines and seeing how much water each manifold delivers in a one minute pump period, then you dial it in. With only three plants it should not be that bad. My last time was a 7 day vacation and I had nine plants that were mothers in a 4'x4'. It cost under 200$ and when I am done I run everything with a bleach solution, then a water solution back into the reservoir. Everything stores in the Brute bucket until the next time. I just store it with the cover on. Oh and big tip, you have to drill a pin hole in your feed line to the plants just above the reservoir water line to let air out so it does not keep flowing water when the pump timer goes off...I learned that the hard way with a moderate amount of water on the floor the first time setting it up. The shit we all do for these plants.

Yeah ... you are right. But then once it is all is said and done, they really do love us back.

My Red Diesel is lovin' me back right now (I just snipped some small lower buds this afternoon to test. I haven't dried it or cured it yet. Wonder how better it's gonna be then. Hmm ...)
