Do you have any exhaust ? Try setting up an exhaust fan to cool things off a bit,evn try putting frozen water bottles around the plant more lights will pack on the weight! Bummer about temps, but for an experiment it sure looks good !!

I do have exhaust fans, one down low to push air in, and one up high to draw air out. I've tried the whole frozen water bottle thing, and to be honest it was a lot of effort for not a lot of pay off so I just sort of gave up on it after a while.

What I'm really going to have trouble with is space, I'm running out fast. I've been tying branches down, and I'm hoping that won't have a hugely negative effect on my final yield. I guess it doesn't really matter tho, if I get an 1/8 or a 1/4 I suppose I'll be satisfied. Who knows, maybe I'll get a little bit more, but I'm not counting on it.

What has really impressed me is the lack of smell so far. Sure it smells a little when the plants are on, but it just smells like a plant, not dank ass weed. During the day when the lights are off, there is basically no smell. Idk, my parents haven't said anything, but I think they just choose to ignore my pot smoking as my room pretty much always smells like weed.

BTW, I'm not underage, I just live at home cause I go to school locally.

Thanks for the replies, I'll be sure to keep this updated.

I was wondering, with the skinny branches at the bottom, would it be possible to clone those?

Also, I'm kind of running into a height issue, as you can see I have one of the main branches tied down, is this a good method for controlling the height of the plant, or should I do something else? Space is kind of limited, its in a large mini fridge.

In terms of adding more light, that usually messes with my heat, and I think I could probably only afford to add maybe one more 14w bulb before I would be going over 90 F. I don't know, I'm sure that my yield will suffer because of that, but I wasn't expecting a whole lot in the first place. I'll just be happy to have a couple of grams of my own home grown to smoke.
I'm having the same problem with height ...i have a 5 ft ceiling to work with but i started flowering when it was about 18-20 inches tall ..... my stupidity ..... i was curious ... i have about 430+ watts of cfls for my 2x4x5 space i have a two plants about the size of the one your showing off which are about 3 ft now ... and 5 small girls that are about a ft and a half ...the lighting seems great .. i'm running 2 65 watt cool white about 8 23-27 daylights. a 40 wt cool white and a 42 wt cool white along with a 32 cool white... alot of fucking light right???? i just hope iit adds some density and adding the second 65 wt def filled up the gaps of light i was missing on my bigger girls

Yea I was a bit surprised myself with what you have with the wattage your pulling. Flowering wont be anything impressive. To me there's no real point in growing unless your gonna pull an ounce or more of a plant. I suppose this is a good one for the sake of learning.

Next time cut the lower branches in veg as they wont get anything worth it and will just suck energy away from the main tops. Also next time go with HID a 150 watter or so and you'd see a huge improvement.

ya wut gold said

lots of people will remove anywhere from the bottom 1/8 -1/3 of a plant ... for the simple reason the other buds will benfit greatly from this. Also, u can flip those into clone .. so win win for u :)

Well, I'd like to go with HPS or HID, but I'm not so sure I'd be able to manage the heat in my refrigerator, it gets pretty warm with just the CFLs. I'm going to see about getting another 68w cfl though, maybe something even beefier. Also I'll probably try scrog the next time around.

are your intake/exhaust fans the right speeds so its sucking enough hot air out and not just circulating inside? using a passive intake instead about 2 times the size of your exhaust might help. i tried using fans on my intakes and it raised the temps. using passive cooled it off i wanna say 5-7 degrees i dont remember exactly its somewhere in my journal of rambling lol. i dont remember for sure but i think it was that both fans need to be the same speed.

i think u should keep them all pulled down of the ceiling. dont be scared to pull them i pulled the shit outta mine and its doin fine. i just pull it a little moree everyday.
what kind of nutes are u using?

I've just been using 8-7-6 plant food, its what I have on hand, but I'm sure its not ideal. Is it really worth it to invest in expensive nutes at this point?

i dont know excactly but i think u use them until ur about to harvest.but im not sure. yeah i think its worth it esp if u plan on growing in the future.but im no pro u might be find with what u got

Idk, I'd go for some better nutes if it seemed likely that I could increase my yield on my current grow, but I've only got like 4-6 weeks left till harvest. Otherwise, I'll just wait till the next grow to do that.

Hey, I was wondering, my fan leaves are starting to fall off, would it be bad to just go ahead and cut them all off? Also, should I or should I not cut off the lower branches?

I'll post some pics in a bit.

You should go with the nutes you have. there is no point in switching now. Id reccomend going with them until 2 weeks before you harvest and fluch the chit out of em with just water. Your leaves will start to yellow but it helps with the final product and they will dry faster. good luck i like what i see. CFL power
