looks pretty bad ass man, but yes u should switch ferts, some sativas will flower for 14 weeks, and the buds will be less leafy if you stop feeding them veg nutes, switch to some nice bloom nutes, some thing like a 2-8-6 or some thing, i like the fox farm line, big bloom and tiger bloom would really fill in the gaps for u i think.

That Is very nice for A cfl grow you can be proud of yourself
I am pretty satisfied with the results so far. I may have hit a few bumps in the road, but at least I'll have a few grams to show for my experiment. I figure the next time I do a grow in this box it will go way better than this time since now I know how to use it. I will be making some changes, I'll probably run both of my fans as exhaust, and have passive intakes for starters. After that I'll buy another 68w 2700k and run two of those. Also, I'll only be waiting four weeks to flower instead of ten. I figure that if I do a second grow I can have a harvest by March, and then start over in time to get a few plants well established to do some outdoor growing.

I'll look into nutes, but I can really only look at Home Depot or Lows...anyone know of a good flowering fert that they carry?

I'm using 8-7-6 now, I'm guessing I want to shoot for less N?

yeah a low n a high p and a mid k like 2-8-6 or 5-15-10, some thing like that, as long as the n is lower if the p and k are too high u can dilute to keep it from burning. ive even had succes using schultz 10-15-10 all the way thru a grow and it was decent bud but it dosent compare to the fox farm line or any other high end nutrent line. and yes the schultz is available at home depot all year round, like 7 buck a bottle i think, ill post a pic so u know what to look for, just 7 drops per quart every other watering will do it for flower, use 1/4 tsp sulfur free molases per quart on the waterings u dont feed. good luck.

on a side note you can wash some of the nitrogen away by misting your plants down as the lights go out for the night, just make sure to watch your humidity and make and venting adjustments needed.

misting your plants in flowering is a horrible idea especially at lights off cause it wont dry. everything ive read says when misting do it at lights on so it will dry and DO NOT mist in flowering

Everything you have read was written by morons.

Mist ONLY before lights off.

Misting during flowering is fine up until the tricome production starts.

ok listen to this guy and mist them during flower then so you can get a nice plant of mold im sure thatll smoke well. i dont mist my plants but they do get water poured all over them. i only water soon as lights come onand the water gathers up all over the tops and sits there. havent had 1 single problem or burn spot so i dont see how you can say mist ONLY before lights off.

this is a pretty old post but the first one i could find for an example
Plants love to be foliar fed, mist the leaves with a very fine mist. They should be misted in the morning just as the sun is coming up if your plants are outside, or if you're indoor mist them before you awake your plants with their "morning light". Be sure to mist the undersides of the leaves. Obviously don't mist while the light is on because you will get water on the bulb and possibly break it, and the stoma are open in the plant's "morning".. being whenever the sun wakes it up, this I assume to is collect dew and moisture that accumilated overnight.

oh and heres this from a different site of people 1 after another saying not to mist during flower.
Most folks know better then to mist your plant while in flower. The mold is just a small part of why most grower dont mist.

Misting stimulates lush leafe growth. Some take this as improvement in overall plant health.

A dry arid environment during flowering causes increase trichome production as a survival reaction. Standard equipment in most commercial indoor grows a dehumidifier.

If your growing hemp misting is a great idea.

ok dude i was suggesting to this guy that he can use a higer n fert in flower, not ideal i know but you do what u got to do, notice i told him to watch the humidity and make venting adjustments? the purpose of misting, NOT foliar feeding, is to wash away some of the excess nitrogen that the plant stores in its fan leaves, to prevent it from burning. the water will pool in the places it can be taken in for in the morning when the lights come on, but letting it sit on the leaves over night seems to have more of a wash out effect

Skervy and Wowisuckatthis, you've both given good advice, however, as of right now I am at week 6, that means that there will prob be only 2-4 weeks to go as some of the hairs are turning red, and many of the leaves are yellowing (which I have been removing) so I don't think I'll be making any adjustments to what I have been doing as it seems to be working out. I'm not going to get the biggest yield, but it looks like I will get a decent little harvest that will be enough to keep me happy for a week or two. I'll post pics tonight if I remember to show everyone the progress.

As promised, here are some more recent pics, taken just now:

Any guesses on when I should harvest?

The nugs aren't all that dense but whatever, it looks like I'll probably at least get a quarter, which is nice.

watch your trichomes, when about 60-75% of them go cloudy give it a full 2 days of dark then cut it down and hang it up for a few days to dry.

Right on, I hear you're supposed to wait for amber trics, like 10-20%, or should it be at the first sighting? Or is that not true at all?

wait till calxs swell almost appearing seeded and look for the pistil to pull back in calx and the pistils to turn 90% aboout cinnamon or amber

exaclty when to harvest if a personal preference that depends on what type of high you like, the trichomes will darken further after the full 48 hours of dark if you use that method, the darker you let your trichs get the more of a couch lock high you will get as opposed to a clear UPPY high from clearer whiter trichs. i wait til about 65% of my trichs have gone solid white then i give 2 says of dark and cut them, hang them for 3-5 days then seal them in a jar that gets aired out every day for a week. then i leave it for another 1-2 weeks in a cool dark area. gives a nice high with nice mellow smoke and great flavor.

btw, you need more light.. if you added more light right now, say double the light, you would instantly(the next day) notice a increase in the plants growth, and also notice that it is sprouting a lot more white pistolas, or "hairs", and you would get nice, dense, and headie nugs... all hairs turn "red", white pistolas are immature, while red ones are mature

these plants love light, and light is the only thing that can dramatically increase plant output by simply adding more

Well, I'd like to add more light, but I'm pretty much maxed out on heat right now so I'm not sure I should risk it. As of right now with the lights I have I am at 85F.

Are you sure about 4-6 weeks? I'm at about 8 weeks 12/12 right now.
