3 weeks flowering CFL: What do you think?

You got that mother off of only four cfl bulbs? I am very impressed, I'm starting up a new grow with 42 watt x 4 and 13watt x 6 on two plants, hopefully it turns out good as yours.
Well for the last few weeks I have been running:
1 68w 2700k
2 23w 6500k
4 14w 2700k

So more like 7 bulbs, but for the longest time I only used the one 68w bulb. In general I rearranged the lights pretty regularly to accommodate the growth pattern, which I think is part of the reason for my success. In addition, the box I am using has white surfaces, and isn't very large, so not much light escapes.

Don't overlook the 68w 2700k's for flowering, they work amazing and don't put out much heat because they have larger heat sinks in their built in ballasts.

Damn, she still isn't quite there yet. If figured for sure that she would be done by this weekend, by not quite. The trichs have really gotten cloudy, but I wouldn't describe any of them as solid white or milky. Also, I'm still seeing a bit of growth, a couple of my main nugs that I though were done have managed to squeeze out a couple more fresh hairs, and a little more bud growth. I guess that's cool because that means I get more bud, but its kind of a problem because when the lights turn on it smells like I have an oz of straight dank bud just sitting out in my room. I'm going to have to cut the lights more to make it so that it doesn't come on for a little bit longer this week I think.

wud up brah
looks great what are the temps in ya room? if its 50-60 that could cause the purple coloring unless it is really purp.
but chea another week or so to go and they should be ready. have you flushed yet?
looks good tho bro cheers to harvesting a perfect beauty!!

Temps are 65-70 during the dark hours. I think its just a purple plant as it didn't turn purple till just recently, and has done so with a vengeance. Also, only the mature buds seem to be turning purple.

Okay, so I was having a look tonight, and I noticed what I think are a couple of amber trichs. A lot of my trichs on my large buds are turning cloudy, and quite a few are solid white, but some are still pretty clear looking. What do you guys think?

Fuck it, I think it's ready. I may have under estimated the readiness as I was think that I should see solid white orbs, not just kind of white balls. I've shut the lights off for the next 48 hours. Its done, over, I'll post pics of my final harvest.

Hey noob, Nice looking buds for CF grow.

Question: what was the total bud time? you started 11/12 right? finish 2/1 so around 11-12 weeks am I correct?

I don't think it will be too early, if anything it might be too late. I started seeing a couple of amber trichs, and the rest are definitely 50% white, if not more. I didn't see many clear ones. I decided to shut the lights down because I didn't want to risk letting it get over ripe, as I hear that with sativas, waiting for mostly amber trichs doesn't give as good of a high as with indica.

I'm just trying to decide now if I should let it go for 48 or 72 hours in the dark. I'm might do 72 just to ensure that it is plenty ripe.

And ya, its been like 11 1/2 weeks.

Before I chopped 'er down:

After:

What do ya think? Not bad eh. I didn't bother to weigh it, but I figure its close to an OZ, maybe a bit more or less, there is about a quarter's worth that couldn't be hung up so I put those nugs in a paper bag.

Hmmm, my nugs went from dense to fluffy pretty quick.
are they a little bit crispy on the outside yet? dont worry about the fluffyness, it will harden back up while curing. once it gets just a little crispy on the outside put it in an air tight jar thats just big enough to fit it all in there, or use 2 smaller ones. cap it up and let it sit til the morning, then open it up for the day, repeat process til its just how you like to smoke it then just keep the lid closed.

Ya, I put them in a jar, and now they are starting to get dense again. The smell is slowly improving as well. I'll definitely be waiting a while to smoke this as I want it to be well cured. Its pretty cool though, I've almost got enough to fill up a pint jar.
