Wow! It looks like a completely different plant now. Pretty good results for growing it in a mini fridge if you ask me. Looks like you'll get a respectable quantity of bud as well. Good job man.
3 weeks flowering CFL: What do you think?

I'll have to look into that. The only problem is that I'm not really up for coughing up a lot of dough on a ballast and what not, like, if it is going to cost me more than $50 I really can't swing it. Would it be possible to run it on my 300w rated clamp light socket w/o flickering and what not? I mean, its only 150w, it seems like most outlets should be able to handle that as there are 150w light incandescent light bulbs.
I will enjoy the herb, and on the plus side I'll get some bragging rights with my friends as the nugs are turning purple (not that it really makes a difference, but hey, I'll take it). I'm not sure if it is because that is just the plant's genetics, or if it is because its getting cold in my box with the lights off. It shouldn't be dropping below 60F though, as I have my lights off during the daytime, and the temp in my house is usually 65F.
Anyways, I've been checking the trichs, and they are getting cloudy, but I'm also seeing some new growth still, so I don't know. The smell has officially gone from plant like to open bag of dank weed, so I picked up so ozium and a scented candle.

the smaller hps are def worth it in the long run, i run a 100w one that works bad ass with a few cfls thrown in for side lights. but no you cant use it with the 300w clamp socket, the problem is that the hps runs on more voltage less amperage to jump the gap and react with the pressurized gas in the bulb, if you dont get the right voltage then you with have light spectrum output that is next to useless for growing. hydrofarm.com has great little all in one hps setups that include a lens and cooling fan starting around 300 bucks i belive, anything above 250 watts is sodium/halide interchangeable. would be a great system one light, 2 different buls for veg and flower. and a box with like 4 cfls for a mother.

I was thinking of upgrading to two cabinets. I have a night stand that would be perfect for conversion.
I'm starting to think that perhaps my plant is just a purple strain as it isn't turning just a little purple, its purple all over, sometimes to the very center of the bud.
I wonder if I would be able to regenerate this plant...I'm going to try at least.

yeah u just have to leave a bottom budsite on the plant, or a couple of them to be safe, and stick it back into 20/4 light, you can even manage it with clones coming off of a mother deep in flower too, the reveg process takes time but some times it is worth it to keep the genetics around.

Well, now I'm up to 67 days flowering, or about 9 1/2 weeks.
I looked on Google and found some 150w HPS setups by Sun Systems for around $150, even as cheap as $80 like this one:

Any word on that supplier/setup?
It seems like a pretty good deal, and it even comes with a bulb. I don't think it comes with a fan though, but I was planning on buying like ten case fans from newegg because you can get 10 for $10 and free shipping.

thats a bad ass light for 80 bucks. just run a 42w 2700k and a 42w 65k along side it for flower and you will get huge buds.

Well, my lady is finally starting to show signs that the final growth spurt has ended. I'm not really seeing any more new hairs, and the ones that did spring up are starting to turn red at the tips. I've been checking the trichs, and the are starting to get a little milky, but some are still clear and I didn't find hardly any that had gone solid white. My buds are about half purple, half green. I've honestly only seen bud this purple perhaps one other time, but of course this is pretty much my first time seeing bud on the plant up close and personal. All I can say is that I'm getting pretty darned excited, and I'm pretty proud that I managed to pull of a grow like this with such good results. I may not get a lot, but it will be more than a quarter, maybe more than a half, so I can't complain at all. Also, there will be some clippings plus my stem stash to make cannabutter from.
I've just been giving her sugar water for now, and I am contemplating whether or not I should continue with sugar water, or just give her straight water till the end. I am almost at ten weeks right now, so I anticipate that she'll be ready in another one to two weeks.
Damn, I cannot wait to post pics of my harvest and brag about my purple weed from my tiny plant in my tiny fridge. I think I'll go with the jar curing technique as I need to control the smell, and that seems like the best way to prevent the stuff from drying out.

Ya, I think so. I've been checking trichs, and they are looking a bit cloudy, not milk though...but most of the white hairs are now turning brown. I'm figuring about another week, and then if the trichs are looking pretty milky I'm going to shut the lights off for 48-72 hours and then harvest and reveg.

Yeah, I cant' believe how purple they turned out. I didn't see that coming, and now I'm left pondering what strain it might be.
Your ladies are look pretty nice though, I had a look. I wish I had the room for more than one that sized.
I take back what I said about the trichs, I checked again and they are sort of looking milky. The thing is that one main cola looks almost ready, but the other looks like its a couple of days behind. I don't know, I'm wondering if I should harvest the first in a couple of days and then give the other one and some of the smaller buds a couple of extra days.

wait til the trichs on the largest like 5-6 of the buds are milky or mostly milky, then stick it in the dark for 48 hrs, the milky ones will get bigger and the cloudy ones will get milky, and your buds shouldnt over ripen.

yes i started mine in sept 09 im now in to the end of 4th week budding. They are flowering very slowly with cfls my last grow i was flowering for 6 months when i chopped it the bud wasnt even ready the lights i was using just didnt cut it yours is looking well here are a few pics of my grow now
im not sure what strain mine is i started off from my first grow i found a seed in some thai kinda weed then grew it and it turned hermi at the end and gave me shit loads of feminised seeds my last two grows are from these fem seeds and they have not turned hermi tho as i was told they would tend to hermi as well with them coming from a hermi plant iv been feeding with biobloom this time round and have noticed a big diference from using miricle grow im no pro at growing but i would put more lights around the sides as all lights help the more the better i think with cfls iv got a mango plant veggin now only 9 days old i wont be flowering that with cfls im gonna buy a mh light iv always been worrried about the cost but i asked a sparky at work and he rekons a 150w mh light would cost the same to run as a tv so im buzzin now coz thats plus il only use mh for flowering and stick with cfls for veggin as they do a great job at veggin

You got that mother off of only four cfl bulbs? I am very impressed, I'm starting up a new grow with 42 watt x 4 and 13watt x 6 on two plants, hopefully it turns out good as yours.
