3 Strain Party Cup Grow

Sicc has inspired me as well. I have 5 party cups going that all just sprouted two days ago and am about to start a sixth. The party cups are ideal for me because they will allow me to work with a number of plants in a limited space. I am doing Blue Mystic, Swiss Cheese, Kaya Gold Fem and 2 different mystery strains all from nirvana looking to see which work best for my environment and in the party cups. Ill let you know how I do and ill be watching your grow and of course the PCC

haha aint that the damn truth, there sarting to take off now, im gettin ready to raise the light some to get them to stretch out a lil, but i get what UB was saying now, i can see how topping above the 2d node can block out the other shoots, i can see it happening now, but once they get tied down, it would open things up more

Yeah i cant wait to flower them, im almost tempted to flower now, but i want them to have a good veg period, only went 3 weeks last time, this time will be a total of 5, so they should be good by this up coming monday :-P

yeah i followed the last party cup grow, that lady was awesome. and even after the crazy back and forth veg period she did real well. These little ladies will prob be twice the last ones size. you still working outta the same little cab, or did you get an upgrade? peace folks

Still using the same cab, its a portable closet, so there is more room in there, but i just built a cab, inside of a cab lol

When i first started the last grow it was only room for one plant, but now im using the whole space i have, or width, but not all the height if that makes sense

here are some pics to show ya what im talkin bout

this is it now, you can see how its a cab in a cab haha

theres your girl!! :bigjoint:Yeah, i understand your setup. that is a good getup though, if anyone ever opens the outer cab that aint suppose to you got an extra layer of protection. like double wrapping on a girl you aint sure about!:!:

only if i could do this shit.. next time i might just pack 20 or so cups and see what pops off.

LOL fa real, gotta double wrap that shit ;)

I also have two white trash bags hanging down to reflect the light bac towrds the plants, the blacc sheets also block light from getting out, and light getting in, but you can see some escapes the corners, but when everything is closed, its pretty light proof, no prob so far

my main thought is when did your guy flower her?

I'm currently using party cups for early veg, then transplanting up to 34 oz. plastic cups from there. (I've still got my 3 gallon pots too, but less right now.) Just put the first two into the flowering tent last night, so I won't have any results for some time yet. But I'm sure that 10 to 15 quart cups will yield me just as much as 3 to 4 larger pots, yet I can space out my rotation to have more frequent smaller harvests (which I need)... I figure since the plant count limit in CA for MMJ users has been stricken, I can take advantage and make growing much easier on me with several small monthly jobs instead of one large one, while not losing my current yield. Also will be getting some 1 gallon pots soon, to do some side-by-side comparison grows with those vs. the 34 oz. cups. :bigjoint:

So, I finally get to do a mini SOG! :clap: We'll be moving in the next month or two, so I'm also thinking about just doing 12/12 from seed/clone in the meantime to make the moving easier... and if it goes well, I may just stick to SOG.

Thanks for all the comments, i was going to wait until the 1st of Feb to throw them into flowering (5 week mark), but i think tomorrow is a perfect time, that will be day 32 of Veg.

The SK is growing, but i kinda regret topping her, even her new shoots have that crazy node space going, so there not really stretching out as much a the other two. She's jus a deanse ass bush now haha, we'll see what happens.The MBS is fucin crazy, she will probably be the only one that will have 6 for sure cola's,, her two lowest on's i had to tucc fan leaves under already because they were growin up into it. The BK is lookin good as well, her bottom two shoots are kinda blocc'd out from the other's, there just exploding in growth, and im just itching to make em flower haha.

Ima throw a couple pics up tomorrow, but ima do a vid as well in that its hard to get some snap shots of all the node growth :bigjoint:

Well, that's still 4.5 weeks of veg; only half a week sooner than you'd planned. They're going to be awesome! :hump:

Yeah, I'm thinking videos will be my way from now on. Plus, if I really want snap shots, my video camera saves any stills I want from videos on its hard drive. (Yes, hard drive. It's a hybrid, with a hard drive and a DVD burner built in instead of using DV tapes.)

Once escrow closes (yes, we got approved for the house! :clap:) and we're moved in and I've finally got a real grow room, I'm thinking it'll finally be time to do a few "tutorial" videos... I've had so many people ask me, say, how to LST, and it would be so much easier to show those who don't visualize it by posting videos. I've been wanting to do some videos, but there isn't nearly enough room to put up the tripod and get the work into view. T is going to build me some tables for my veg and flowering areas so I can get my pots off of floor level and stop breaking my back & hips every time I work on them, as well as a "work bench" type of table in my room as well. I'll finally have some real organization and be able to do more of the daily maintenance just from having everything right in my reach, as well as doing "extra" things I've wanted such as shooting videos and just plain experimenting with new stuff!


SICC, didn't your last party cup plant yield about an ounce, counting what you'd sampled before weighing? I'd be happy to get 1/2 oz. from each, since I'll be running several at a time in a perpetual rotation. :D How long did it take to start flowering after only three weeks of vegging?

I've got four plants I transplanted from 16 oz. to 34 oz. cups a couple nights ago. Two I'm continuing to veg till they're ready to top so that I can use the leftovers to clone before flowering... I've only got one seed left for one, and none for the other. The other two are from seeds I bred, and considering I have close to 200 :shock: from those two breedings, I'm not as worried about hanging onto precious seeds as I am about restarting my rotation (LONG story, needless to say I'm pissed!), so I put those two into the flowering tent. They vegged for three weeks. So far I've vegged my plants two months or so, and it feels so weird flipping to 12/12 this soon! But if I'm going to attempt a SOG, then vegging longer would defeat the whole purpose of SOG... so I've gotta get used to doing it this way! :lol:
