hyponex is trash. its made by scotts and it wouldnt be so bad if they had added a little bit of peat moss and some more perlite to it, but hyponex by itself is bullshit to me. Everytime I watered I used to make sure the water drained from the bottom of the pots, but when I transplanted outta miracle gro into hyponex (bcuz everyone recommended I should) it was the worse mistake I had made.
Hyponex doesnt have much perlite so it doesnt aerate the roots/soil
If U overwater, the soil at the bottom of the pot will turn into mud...and when U flush the soil will turn muddy and almost swampy, drowning the roots and over saturating them in water/nutes/salt build up...
when it dries up it turns really hard into like a clay/rocky texture and everytime I transplanted the soil would break off and leave half of my rootball stuck to the bottom of the pot! that severly stunted my plants growth..over time they recovered and I was able to reuse the soil by breaking it apart and either adding it to the top or the bottom of the fresh soil.
And Hyponex indoors invites a lot of mold/mildew to grow on top of the soil, but it never climbed the plant, it stayed right on the soil surface.
Good luck man, you'll need it with that stuff.
