Romulan I grew out finished so purple(winter time at flower finish, temps in the 50's n 40;s at night:bigjoint:) that when cured for
2 months appeared Black! Was so pungent, so thick n heavy smoking, even I smoked her seldom.............lol............
The plant pic I am using for my avatar is supposed to be black and just recently started to show signs of purp on the buds.
It is a King Klone Phantom Cookie. I'm a bit skeptical that it will get as dark as the pic on their site. The plant is currently still OD,
and the night temps have been dropping to the mid to low 50's for at least a week or so now. I'll harvest as soon as I think the plant
is showing enough color. The plant has already been through the rain a couple times and even got hit by hail. I don't much care if it molds
or whatever else might happen to it, I care more about just watching it turn dark.
That plant was started indoor fairly well into bloom before I moved it OD after harvesting my other OD plants. So it is a shorter stature but has been chunking out since being OD. I didn't think it would take more than a few days in the cold (mid to low 50's) to turn color, but that's not the case. She is taking her time to turn color. It's actually been OD a couple weeks or more even, but the night temp's were not in the mid to lower 50's till this past week. Hopefully she turns real dark before going to mold, I'll keep my finger's crossed but oh well if it does go to waste. Those damn caterpillars are a bigger threat than the weather. One thing that plant has been getting that the others were not given is sugar in the raw. I hope this will enhance that cookie dough flavor the plant is supposed to have.

Here's a pic of my tent when I pre vegged 12 before moving half of them OD. So only doing 8 this grow, and switching to bloom a lot sooner, I think I will do fine. For the plants in this pic I started pre vegging I think in February or early March till they were 36" or more before going OD. Which kind of messed me up for the remaining 6 that stayed indoor. I got way better results going into flower when the plants are much shorter and the light can penetrate better. The plants that got transplanted to 15 gal smart pots OD grew to 10 foot.

Here is a video showing those pre vegged plants late in flower. Not all of them got to that mentioned 10 foot height. Those two on the left were Thin Mint and they didn't grow too well the entire season. I think something was wrong with the cheap soil I used to fill the two larger pots. In fact after harvest I found some type of black insects in the medium those two were growing in. Black small shinny insects that looked real similar to a flea but slightly longer than a flea, not sure what type of bug they were. For that grow I had a layer of play sand over the top of the medium till I transplanted OD then put on a layer of cedar mulch to help hold in moisture during the hot summer months and to help ward off moths who hate cedar. I wanted to ward off the moths because it is the moths that lay eggs which hatch into caterpillars that eat into the buds and will even eat into the stalks and cause everything from that point up to rot. The other plants are three Jack Herer, and one Blue Berry x Cookie on the end. It was those Jacks and BBC that grew tall. Nearly grew taller than that cinder block garage next to the flower bed which has a 10 foot ceiling.

What do you think, will she turn full on purp/black? How long should it take from here?
This one is pretty frosty too but my cheapy camera doesn't pick up all the details so well.

I guess I'll just leave it out there and let it nearly freeze till its black like what happens to our tomatoes near the end of summer.

Did you see the post above about which plant this one is? ^ ;D
This one is a Phantom Cookie, which is Phantom x Platinum Cookie.
I'm not sure what genes are in the Romulan you mentioned.
Romulan was my fav smoke for a little while though, but never grew it yet.

If this plant will hurry up and turn dark before getting sick/mold or anything then I'm hoping that the trichs will be amber by then and give that sudo CBD effect. Its mostly sativa 65%.

I think I cured the worry of mold from rain getting on the plant.
I should have already done it but was slacking on putic plastic on my greenhouse.
Hadn't covered it yet because its not fully put together, needs some screws and other stuff to hold it in place and secure it down.
But it works for now.

same thing as a hempy bucket which people say you don't have to check the PH with a hempy bucket
plants look nice n green
i grow NFT and sometimes dwc both do not require pH measurement or adjustment unless you are using an irregular water source like RO water
or water that start with a very low or high PH

regular tap water and nutes are all that is needed

Tried to find a good pic of my Purple I use to grow to show you...........have 42 GIGS worth of pics spanning 20 years,
still trying to find them, lol.......

did find an old school Sensi star I grew, but not purple. Remember I had 2 distinct versions of it. 1 purple/black, 1 orange/mint/pink
This is the orange one, maybe 7 th week, maybe 8th, let her run 10................

So see, yours has both, the orange and the purple. This got some purple, near the end, but nothing like the other .....

Honestly I think I need to get a better camera. Mine can't pick up just how frosty my plants get. Or fine details like magenta colored hair I've seen on some plants.
Here is some Granddaddy Mango I grew a short while back. I hated how it grew the entire time. It just grew really tall. I had to super crop it, top it, tie it up with some wire to keep it from flopping over.
I bet it would have done much better OD. The end result, that Granddaddy Mango ended up to be some of my best bud from that grow. When I went back to the club I got the clones from and a bud tender asked me how the plants were doing and I said that I didn't like how tall/stretch the Mango was getting, and he said "Oh, we got rid of that one." Which sucks because once I saw the end result I was pretty happy with it and would have gladly grown it again If I could get the same cut. I think I could do even better if I did another run with the different supplements I have now. It actually did smell of Mango's, even in veg when I clipped some leaves and rubbed them. GDP x Mango Haze. Also this plant was very easy to trim, another bonus reason I wish I could get the same cut again. These pic's were not at harvest either. This was probably somewhere towards the last 1/3'rd of bloom fairly close to right after a flush and I just took picks because I thought the plant looked cool with those hue's. The bud's looked almost a shade of blue or light purp in contrast to the yellowing of the leaves mid to late in bloom. The bud's were real frosty and glistening too but my camera can't pick it up. The buds stayed pretty chunky after curing too. They didn't dry and lose much of their size like I've seen so many others do. It was a little weird how even the leafy mater on the bud's was hard to the touch, not quite crispy but hard.

And here is a Crystal Haze cola next to it ;D The Granddaddy Mango was taller than the Crystal till I super cropped it. Broke it down at least 10" or so. You can't really tell from the picture but the Mango has a hooked bend or a J shape in the stalk. It goes downward and then bends growing back up. I broke it down at least that 10" or more, then it grew towards the front of the tent. The smart pot is at the back of the tent and the stalks filled in the mid section of the grow space then upwards. There's actually two of those Granddaddy Mango in the back, a Granddaddy Purple in the very front and another Granddaddy purple in the back left, then there is the one Crystal Haze in the front left.

They are all King Klone brand Blue Dream, and White Buffalo. I can't find KK Blue Dream on their site but my KK plant marker that came with the blue dream clones has specs listed.
http://kingklonebrand.com/shop/
White Buffalo is 80% Sativa.
Grows 4-6 feet indoor.
Up to 24% THC
CBD 0.81%

Durr... now I see why you were talking about Romulan, the white buffalo is Romulan X (Bay 11 x Black Berry Kush), I missed exactly what cross the white buffalo is. I was looking more at the specs and not the cross. That's too funny because I even read it had Romulan in it but it didn't click why you were talking about Romulan. Brain fart, my bad.

Looking forward to the show :)
haha Me too. I can't wait to see what my new ladies turn out to look like. Sorry for all this other side show stuff that's been linked in the same grow log.
I don't mind linking stuff from past grows though because I likely won't be posting updated pic's from this grow too often, probably once a week or so.
In the mean time I'll try to keep it fun and chat about past grows and my current OD. Also in part because I'm still looking to improve my skills and maybe learn different things.
If anyone has comments about my current indoor or these other grows, past and current OD, I'd like to hear your suggestions on what I could have done differently to improve my grow.

I think the Phantom Cookie is headed toward turning black / deep purple as I hoped for.
I linked another video as well, just don't look too much at all the junk on my patio. ;D
