2ft hood in 2ft tent?

No, it's not about led vs hps. It's about 150W hps being too small to be useful for anything and 1000W being a fire hazard in a 2x2 tent. If it was a 5x5 tent that 1000W would be great, but not for a 2x2
I totally disagree. My first plant was a Northern light auto grown under a 150 watt blurple and it gave me 3.5 oz of great bud. 150 watt HPS would be fine in a tiny 2x2 tent. As you can see by my previous post I do agree 1000w in that space would likely burn the house down.

150W blurple would be equivelant of about a 300W hps.

Even with a massive hood? I have super XL one. And another HPS, but idk if that would be overkill.
Yes, even with a massive hood. 150W hps simply doesn't put out enough light. I have seen people have some success with 250W hps, but it's still not great. What other hps light do you have that you are referring to?

Oh, they're both 1000w. I dont have any 150w ones.

I like your style - more light!

However, I think 2x2 is waaay too small to accomodate the heat on a non-cooled 1000w HPS.

I tried CMH at first, still got some bulbs I couldn't return. I think I heard they were cooler, but without air cooling it was a nightmare compared to 4x the watts but with a cooled hood running HPS

If you're in the states the light is $150 on their website.
