It depends on how cool you can keep your light. If you've got a cool tube you can pronably get it about. 6 inches away or closer. I'd stay around 6 so if the stretch they won't run into the light. Hopefully. Mine have been exploding in a day or 2 and I gotta adjust the light often. What kinda autos you runnin?

Got auto galaxy....I've got a fan blowing across the bulb they are about 10 inches away from the light...they are 6 days old at the minute but are growing a really quickly any help and constructive criticism would be a big help

put your back of your hand close to the light if. your hand is good the plant is good. if they are cooled. I set 1000 w right on top of the plants and they hit the glass. they love it. just look at the plants, after any light adjustment. in an hour or so make sure the leaves are not ( curling) . trying to get away from the light. with a 250 you should not have any problem. if they are not air cooled hoods. just get a clip on fan point the fan direct at the bulb and you can go very close with the light

Thanks also I'm paranoid about watering them...I've only been lightly misting them once every 2 days if that enough? Sorry for noob questions lol

Throw up some pictures of them! If theyve got more than 2 leaves you can probably water them and stop misting. Id be careful with misting because it can cause your RH to go up and increase the chance of mold. Start off with regular water ph'd to 7 if you can and work your way into nutes starting with about 2.5ml of some grow nute.

They are 6 days old from seed to this I have them in 2 gallon pots....the soil is a mixture of oranganic and perlite

Then they should be fine with just misting. wont need nutes for a few weeks.

Yeah its a seedling. They look dinky and half alive for the first few days usually.

A quick update the pants are now 14 days old wat do use think?

Normally id top it but since theyre auto flowers id just start feeding them some nutes

Start with 1/4 strength of whatever youre using. Have some ph'd water on the side ready to flush a little if you over do it.
