24’x10’ Room w/ 10x 1000w Lights

Ok so I just finished my first grow a month ago and been planning this room for a while now.. I had an 8x8 room with 4x 1000w air cooled HPS lights (could only run 3x due to heat issues) and I managed to yield 3 1/2 pounds off 11 plants (had 12x but one was just 1’ clone I threw in just because my limit is 12 in Michigan)

Anyways, I’m sure a lot of people would say just continue with your current room but I plan on going all out making profit from this and 3 pounds just won’t cut it for me, I want those 20-50 pound yields eventually..

Again anyways, this is my plan.

24’ x 10’ room framed, drywalled(mud finished) ( im a contractor so I remodel houses for a living) I then want to seal the backside of the drywall with some liquid rubber to ensure a good sealed room and also silicone all corners on the inside and then glue reflective Mylar onto the inside walls.. I then plan to have 6x 16” wall mounted oscillating fans( 3x each long 24’ wall) 36k btu mini split installed in the middle of room on one of the 24’ walls

next I plan on having 10x 1000w 8” Air cooled hoods/lights (2x Rows/5x on each side) I have a glass block window on both sides of the room which I can run 8” ducting from one end to the other essentially brining air in from one side and blowing the heat out of the other end.. ( this will only be for this yield/run until I can buy 10x 800w LED lights for next run) Each duct will have an 8” A/C infinity inline fan.. I then would like to somehow run a 4 burner CO2 generator OUTSIDE of the actual grow room and weld mental ducting to the face of the generator and tap it into some duct work running long ways down the entire ceiling/room with 8x duct openings/4x on each side to release/rain co2 down onto the plants.. I want to use 12x 20 gallon fabric pots filled with coco/perlite/worm castings (70/20/10) with a 2” hydroton layer on top. I also plan to have 2x 8” Ac infinity inline fans/carbon filters on each 10’ wall to scrub the air.

let me know what you guys think of this plan. Thanks

You know what I mean lol couple pounds won’t cut it for me. Also this plan is just for now till I can purchase everything I really want for the big boy setup I have planned for after this run. You know this stuff costs a fortune lol
Oh I know it. A well planned out room is a must. Don't forget a damn thing from cooling to dehumdifiers. Good luck!

After that .........about 50 pounds :eyesmoke:

Check the new thread I just posted. That’s my goal for next run I’m trying to figure a way out. On how not to work anymore slaving away being forced to get the poke just to work lol even tho I’m already self employed but still. I wanna sit back, raise my kids in the comfort of my own home without killjoy myself slaving for a rich boss that don’t care about me lol

You ran 4000 Watts and got 3lbs? I run 1200w and get 3 lbs in 5x5. Try harder
no I ran 3000watts in a half setup room with heat issues. Ran out of money setting up and just wanted to get something back to keep building and it was My first grow ever so get off my back bro lol You should encourage people to do better a different way. Have fun yielding 3 pounds. My next run will be minimum of 15-20 now that I have an idea on what I’m doing. I only topped each plant twice and I didn’t stretch them out with a net. That’s where I failed at

flat white paint is as good or better than mylar film, even panda film, and a lot cheaper. use the kilz primer that has the mold killing shit in it, and you can just wipe the walls down with mild bleach water every month or two. it's about 30 bucks a gallon, so maybe 120-150 to do your whole room
Thanks. I’ve always wondered about using KILZ because I use it all the time remodeling homes doing new drywall lol. I’m actually using some as we speak lol. Thanks for the tip tho. I can get the Mylar rolls 4’x100’ for $90 on Amazon which I would need 2x rolls.

Skills pay the bills
Simply adding more wattage isn't going to make you a better grower.
i run 800 watts of leds in a 4x8 perpetual and get about 6-7 ounces per plant, and harvest one a week, so call ten plants 4 pounds...or about 20 pounds per year
i'd like to go larger, but where i'm sitting right now is about as big as i can go without the criminal penalties getting pretty severe. they go by plant count here, and anything over 20 is fed time

yeah that’s you brother. Everybody has to start somewhere ya know. I didn’t expect much off my first experience. Hell.. most people don’t make it past the seedling stage their first time hahah

no, i wasn't criticizing, just illustrating the differences in yields due to lighting, environment, genetics, skills....the first year i grew inside i was getting 2 or 3 oz per plant, and was pretty happy to be getting that, but you just keep learning, and adjusting, and perfecting...i'd like to have a space as large as you have, i'm pretty sure i could be pulling at least 100 lbs a year out of that

With a big area ever think of running 2 x 12 hr gardens? That way hydro and temps would be constant. And easier to control? Was just a thought as another thread has two six plant gardens on flip switch and produces heavy weight. Might need someone to veg for you. And another for young plants. But a 12 plant harvest brings him over 40 lbs. I believed him and saw his pics. Monsters! He was going very high watage too.

You are staying within the state limit, but want to illegally sell. I don't get it.

I want to use 12x 20 gallon fabric pots filled with coco/perlite/worm castings (70/20/10) with a 2” hydroton layer on top.
Lol.

I do have fun. 3 lbs is all I need until the next runs ready. Then I make oil hash and whatever else with what I didn't smoke. I'm not a drug dealer. In Canada it's not even worth it to sell weed. I could go buy 2oz for 100 bucks which to me wouldn't be worth selling so cheap.
15-20?! Lol good luck man count those chickens. I am encouraging you to learn how to grow before you start walking around with your pimp cane is all. Maybe try to work with what you have rather than dreaming so big and running into so many issues. Then go bigger.
But what do I know

I think you will need 2-3X more fans. Think 10-16 instead of 6. Depending on your head space think about mounting some fans on the roof in the middle of the room to get those hard spots.

And you will need more than 36KBTU to cool 10X 1000W cool tube or not. I think you will need a second mini split same size.

You use kilz to paint people's homes?! The cheapest primer there is? Lol Are you a diy remodel guy?

Also you will need a dehumidifier which I see no mention of.

how are you gonna control your lights?
Also just use bottled CO2. You are a contractor. Go to the welding supply store. That way no heat snd no bullshit setting up ducting in a seperate room for the CO2 burner.

That’s irrelevant to the topic brother but I usually have People buy their own materials most of the time so the materials they purchase is the materials I use lol. I learned everything myself so I guess a self employed contractor could also be considered a “DIY GUY”
