Yeah I’ve been dealing with some bud rot, cut out the affected spots so wasn’t sure if that was good enough. And yeah here too, surrounded by red/white pine..Come June -August there’s thick clouds of yellow-green coming off the mountains..probably dusty too with this drought..hmmm

They're doing very well compared to the rest actually. The haze and pineapple chunk are the only plants that haven't been affected by budrot, septoria, or aphids compared to the rest ..very minor septoria in the beginning but they were able to suppress it ..the haze smells very lemony/pine.. gonna run it indoors this winter

Nice. It definitely seems like a robust outdoor strain. Are you planning to make some seeds with it? I would send you some of my F4 seeds so that you can cross pollinate the haze with a robust male.

This year I crossed two purple plants that are sativa dominant. Ive grown enough plants to know a haze when I see it. Im pretty sure both purple plants i crossed have some haze in them.

I hope it makes it to finish, I may have to finish it indoors as my room is finally done. I was planning on just growing it out.. the haze was originally supposed to be grown indoors but since my room wasn't ready, I decided to just let it go outdoors as an experiment.. I do have 5 more seeds though, so will be growing this strain for a couple runs. I will check out the thread !!

What Thumper said. It’s an unecessary step unless the following apply, IMO:

1. You have PM that has affected sugar leaves. A few spot on fans doesn’t require a wash. Also helps to kill any mold spores but unecessary if you’ve dealt with mold accordibgly.
2. You sprayed anything within a few weeks of harvest.
3. You have a lot of dust/bugs/etc in your environment.
4. You have time to spare during harvest (lmao)

Some claim washing results in a cleaner smoke. I only agree if any of the above points apply. I washed one plant this year as I had an aphid issue late flower and sprayed with Purecrop a week before harvest. Last thing I want is my bud smelling/tasting like anything except weed.

Cool, yeah spare time during harvest is definitely a factor here hahaha..they actually got down-poured on for a couple hours the other day so i’m thinkin that’s sufficient enough to take off some dust/bugs..

I had a branch fall from my drying line into the dehumidifier bucket. Only time I ever washed buds.

Seems a little counterintuitive lol.
 
After trying for 7 years to find some way to have a successful outdoor crop, I finally admitted defeat.
The cove I live in is just a bit too Smokey, even for the Smokies to avoid rot.
Hell, between the deer and plagues of voracious insects, even my vegetable garden has been suffering.

I’m thinking its a war i can’t win. Man if the rains would’ve held off just another week i’d have been good. I’m in SWVA not far from east TN. This summer was pretty much ideal right up until HELENE, then the mold came hard and fast. I’ve lost 85-90% and half the stuff that didn’t appear to have mold i’ve had to chop early and just freeze it for hash Would’ve lost that stuff too i’m sure of it.
 
I am starting to think about next year. Need more praying mantis and will spray for bud worms. I have found five or six so far
My Panama Red is over 14 feet tall seems to be the most resistant to anything.
The Durban Poison smells great buds not big like AK47 but many of them are decent size.

Iam in the same boat here 100% depo for me here on out, Late season Bud rot has killed me last few yrs just cant grow fat buds with a rh 70 plus.
