they basically do the same thing, move water. I have a sub pump like you show there. I used to use it to transfer water from the rain barrels into the mixing drum in the greenhouse. This on-demand pump moves water when it's being called for so I don't have to power it on and off, or worry about it running dry ... I believe it's specifically designed for agricultural spraying, like on a landscaping truck or something like that... but it's the same technology as in an RV... open the faucet & it comes on, close it & it turns off
 
Ahhh... so it’s all in the pump. Your on point with the power and running dry. Nice they’re not factors. I’ll have to look into that when I’m back inside this Winter. Thanks for the explanation.

Some trellis attached. Next year I'm starting with trellis way sooner and at a lower height.

Spotted a beefy cricket. Anyone know how to deal with it / them? Tried smacking it with a electric swatter but it escaped the capital punishment.

Looks like a grasshopper to me on initial glance. Hopefully he’s a rogue intruder. The visual of the sneak attack with the swatter brought a smile. If you’re anything like me, there was at least one associated expletive after the failed cease and desist mission too! Lol

Curious to know if anyone can recommend a bloom fertilizer? Was thinking organic liquid nutrients?
I am growing outdoors in the ground. Plenty of earthworms here.
 
Trying to figure out what’s causing the interveinal chlorosis on the new growth on this Hawaiian Hashbud X Balkhi plant that is stacking away and really starting to flower. Cervantes’ Excess/Deficiency chart tells me a) could be an excess of potassium and/or phosphorus, or b) alternatively, not enough iron/zinc/manganese/sulfur etc. The description for iron deficiency saying it starts from the leaf base is spot on for what I’m seeing.

Also seeing it to a lesser extent on the Tirah monster plants that are a couple of weeks behind this girl.

Went through a bit of the same thing starting in mid June, when the stretch really took off and growth was explosive. Ended up scratching in some cow poop and that seemed to alleviate it, wondering if I should do that again…thoughts, anyone? I’m growing totally organic and the chelated iron supplements all seem to be non-organic, per what chemicals are used to process them.

Imo an iron def is most likely not the cause. Usually problems w iron arent from a lack of it in soil but rather something causing it to not be taken up like ph issue or an excess of phosphorus. If your organic its probably not ph but a phos def/tox imo
