About how much was that wood base?

To be honest though they have grown the past 3 years out on the open and no one has complained. They used to have real cry babies behind them as well. Someone cooler moved there. They have had issues with theft though.

I actually do have a picture from when i bent the hoops... i used a piece of plywood and a few 2x4's to mount the bender to ... the bender is essentially just two pieces of top rail connected side by side bent at the correct angle with loops to hold the pipe when bending (and a breaker bar)... the one i have i believe is set up to bend between 16-20' wide hoops ... bending 11 hoops for my 30' long greenhouse took less than two hours ... for 16' wide hoops you need about 26' of pipe and the come in 11' lengths... so each hoop is two full pieces and one that was cut about 4-5' for the top center

i think you're talking about where the hoops connect to the wood knee wall ... i just used a plumbing floor flange with 6" nipple screwed into it ... and then spray painted them ... here's a pic ... the top rail hoops just slide over them

Alright so I’ll get right to it. I’m new to growing I’ve wanted to grow for a while now. I finally cleared a spot in my back woods, the spot gets plenty of sun and is far enough away from neighbors, but I also want to be cautious and not draw to much attention. So from the research I’ve done this I what I can gather to grow with out having to use nutrients I’m running two auto skywalker og In 5 gallon smart pots using a 50/50 mix of FFHF and FFOF checking my water ph making sure it stays 6.3-6.8ish and possibly adding more perlite no liquid nutrients just top dressing and watering. Does this sound good bad? Any advice would be helpful since I live in mass and the weather can go from 70 to a blizzard in 10 seconds or less lol I want to keep my grow a simple as possible I want quality over quantity. Thanks

Curious why only 5 gallon pots? You want to be able to move inside during inclement weather? Keep size small so as not to draw that aforementioned attention?

Anyway, glad to have you in this thread and I’m excited for your grow.

So the guy at the hydro shop gave me the idea for the 5gallon pots he said 3-5 with 5 allowing for more root growth from what I’ve read is a toss up? If you have a better recommendation or more info on it that would be super helpful and my my site is only 30 steps from my house I know I said woods but it’s realistically my back yard I have 6ft high arborvitae blocking the view of the site, like I said I’ve wanted to do this for along time now so I made a lot of preparations before going forward with my first grow lol and if I have to bring them inside that’s no problem I have a shed or put them right in my basement. Any info is helpful either pot size or soil like I said I’m trying to grow with out mixing crazy concoctions just topping the pots keeping my ph inline. Thanks again

go with the biggest pots you can possibly find and still reasonably move... most plants will outgrow 5 gals by June 15 ... if you have a garage and can use a dolly to move them inside or something like that in late fall all the better

I agree with Stealthfader, get the largest pot that you can move with a dolly or other system. Think 15+ gallon for sure, IMO; especially if your plant count will be low.

My bad I don’t thing I specified what I was growing. I’m growing 2 skywalker og autoflowering plants. So I don’t think I need 15 gallon pots lol,but thanks for the info if I run photos now I know what to use. Any soil recommendations? I’m trying to keep it simple. Thanks

Hola!!!!! Ok, so im poppin sprouts as last year I felt I was behind and when you get behind, you battle rot in New England, thats just fact. So started early april as opposed to the labor day rule or whatever. Howevrer, i am also spreading across the board, better than putting all eggs in one basket. Half my seeds are in the dirt, mostly kush and dragon because kush rots first in my experience.

Can some one tell me how to delete a thread?

The problem i had with 5 gallon, especially black, is soil temp on a hot day. Have to shade the bags or the roots get cooked. Infrared thermometer was hitting 140 on a 90° day.

I've grown both the Gelat.OG and Peyote Zkittlez ... the gelat.og I grew indoors and harvested about a month ago ... it was pretty good, solid nugs but it wasn't the best yielder ... I grew the PZ with a group of people on a private forum as a group grow. Mine was a seed I started last july and just let it run in a pot in the greenhouse... i wasn't impressed at all but some of the other guys had better luck than I did .... one common theme was that they stretch into very lanky plants and are finicky with nutes.... you may want to supercrop heavily to provide support and also stake them well ... here's a picture of mine in mid-october ... i never got any pictures of the dried bud... I smoked a cpl joints of it and wasn't impressed at all so I threw it into the hash pile

Here's a shot of a finished PZ bud from one of the other guys on that forum ... he was more impressed with it than I was...

I think @Nizza is growing it now or did recently... he may have more insight on the strain for you
