I also think it makes it easier to trim things up after harvest (one big top cola). I just felt that the trimming and training
was more for indoor but that's probably best for both.

i think that the training and topping def. help maximize yield and is more crucial in indoor where the light is limited and so is height, but i guess alot of citrus growers use the same method of fim topping, to open their trees up to the light.

Gave another feeding today as its been hot weather lately and all sun :hump: Gave cal-mag at 1tsp /gal. and grow big at 6tsp/2.5 gal. They had greened up a lot(no yellowing) since i had seen them 4 days ago although i didn't give them water or nutes since monday or tues? they have been soaking up the sun and their fan leaves are really starting to get large, and they are all starting to really branch a lot more. On a shitty note i went out to find the Qrazy train snapped over at the base, and it had a large crack in the side where it pinched in. i staked it back up using two Y shaped sticks on either side and i'm hoping it will heal up alright. It must've happened a couple days ago because all the tops were bent back up towards the light, but it still looked very green with no signs of stress or wilting. I'm going to wrap some of the green gardener wire around the snapped base and hopefully it will help it heal itself. I think a bear might have been the culprit because there are a lot of blueberries all around my spot. I'll be replacing the cheese quake with an LSD clone in the next couple days. I'm also going to start adding a tsp or two per jug of tiger bloom in the next couple weeks to try to initiate flowering, or at least so they'll have some P +k available when they want to switch over. heres some pics. 1=KK, 2=JH, 3= snapped over QT, 4= kk, 5= QT snapped base, 6= CQ male, 7= JH left / KK right

Damn that base snap looks a little brutal but if you think about it, its potentially just one big supercrop. But cut up strips off an old t shirt works good for holding branches together temporarily for healing. the temp was brutal today we definately broke 90 at least in my part of the state, didnt really do much besides bum around a cool basement and rip bong all afternoon, haha hoping to get out to the patch tomorow or tuesday at the latest. Hope the plant has a speedy recovery

Those girls are really doing well. You should be very happy this Fall! It's amazing that Qrazy Train was still alive and
growing after being snapped over. I'm sure it will be fine!

i've never really thought about that, but my spot has had flyovers in the past, and they've actually ripped up some plants years back that were in the vicinity of mine. I''ve thought about doin a camo'd hoop house big enough for them for the fall though. I just want to keep a low profile

I dunno man, i've seen some monster plants that were topped and pinched back many times, and they were monsters. look at some of double jj's plants, or hodgegrown or any of the big outdoors cali growers on this site. many of them top, and you can't argue with the results. granted they put alot of money and soil into those monsters

Well its been pretty hot lately and the plants have really started branching out alot and really filling in. The Qrazy train was bent over agin when i went out, but it was still looking very healthy. I made a stake and tied it to that to hopefully prevent it from happening again. I noticed the preflowers on the Qrazy train have been dying back and turning brown. Gave them a feeding of quarter strength grow big and cal mag today. heres some pics. Pics 1+2= QT staked back up, 3-5= KK, 6= JH left/ KK right , 7+8= JH
