125 is just fine for the average house and small grow room like yours.. just cause your panel is maxed out on space doesnt meen your load is..
Okay then working with the load I have, would what I sugested work? Damn I wish I knew a few more people near me that have your knowledge with elect. All the elects I used to work with are in socal or tn. Would kill to have one local who i could work out deals with to help me get things done lol.

Edit: just realized what I said was reveresed, the dryer and water heater would have to be on the 30/30 due to exhisting wireing, so the room would go on the 60/60

the power company will never know what you are doing you dont need to remove anything to do this saftly. all you will need to do is turn off the 125 main breaker.. and NO do not try and change that main breaker.. the panel is not rated for it and chances are the service drop is not either..

and the way it would be wired in the main panel is the dryer wold still get its own dedicated 30A 2 pole. and then the 60 would be to control the water heater and grow room. whenever you get to that point I will walk you thru the whole install... it will be fairly easy for you im sure.

naw man we will be even if that photobucket tip works out for me..
It will, it takes a bit more time then posting here on riu, but i still like it better myself. And I have lots of patients, so I can walk ya through it lol. Thats one of the great things about having an it degree and formerly doing tech support, I learned alot of patients, unless I am walking my mother through something on the computer over then phone. Man, trying to get her to understand something can make me go crazy at times, but it is only because she doesnt listen and does what she wants when she is asking for comp help lol.

yupp I know that story. My mom is always trying to ask me for teche help.. bad idea! I can fix and build almost anything, but cant hardly turn my comuter on without following a flow chart and posting sticky tabs with arrows on the power button.. lol thats sounds so sad. but it is so true with me...

cheers to you Jsamuel, but its bout bed time for bonzo... catch up with you later...

whatt was i gonn asay oh yeah you should pig tail a 120 circuit off your 240v line, simple, even though i may cause uneven draw it is safer to have the fans on the same circuit as the lights. because if the fans circuit rips but the light do not, this could be disastrous.

all you have to do is wire in a 120v socket like normal but bypass one of the lives honestly if your running x2 fans i would make a socket for each live on the 240v line so you can balance the load.

I havent looked at the amperage for the fans, but wouldnt a 8 inch and a 6 inch fan still off ballance the load?

Build Update 7*26*2012

Didnt get as much done as I would have like to today. My helpers didnt get to my site until like 2pm and one wasnt even a smoker damn it :P Anyways, got the door in, got my lighting controler about 75% completed, finished caulking about 70% of what needed to be and finished mudding. Tomarrow should be able to finish everything else as long as I dont get all brain farted in electricity again. BTW, much props to you Reggae for helping me figure that box out. You have no idea how frustrated I was making myself with it lol. Anyways here is how the room is looking now

If you guys see anything that I should change, or have any cool ideas I should add to the room please let me know now before its too late. Once the paint dries, my gear starts going into the room so it will be too late to make any major improvements!!!!

Snooch!

I am looking forward to that myself. I cant wait till i get everything finished and I have all my girls inside. Dont know if I mentioned it, but I am going to be using 4 stations of the stinkbud aeroponics setup in the flower room, but I am going to modify it to my favorite grow style and instead of having the stands to tie the stems to, I am going to put a screen in and use the stretch period to fill the screens when I transition them from veg to flower. If it works the way I think it will, it will give me a gread cannopy that will be even across the room and not make me have to play with my hoods that much. When I take a pic of the first hood you will understand why i dont want to move my hoods much. Keeping that a bit of a secret till the room is setup, but I will give a hit, the hoods are larger then raptors........

Lol, I so agree, and raptors were on the menu until I found these. even caused me to stop going to one of the local hydro stores i go to since they lied to me about the hood i bought from the other store. They swore up and down that this hood didnt have hammered aluminum reflectors like the raptor, and a few other things, think they just did it to try to stop me from buying elsewhere. And it isnt toooo much bigger then a rap, but it is bigger lol.

well what I learned over the years is you cant trust shit they tell you at a hydro store unless you know them personaly.. everything they tell you is biased. they are gonna try and sell you what they make the most profit from..
i cant wait to see that big bitch.. fuck bro wait till you see the small space I got my raptor in, talkin bout overkill...

I have seen over kill in a room though, the owner of the shop I got this at, I have gotten to know him pretty well when I was on my I want to find a differnt line of nutes hunt. He showed me a pic of his grow room. his flower room is the same size as mine, 12X8 and he has 6 of the hoods I bought in that 12X8 space. literaly the hoods cant hang straight, they are pushed into the wall and tilted making a dome over his grow..... its friggin insane....
