How's it feel to be completely misinformed about health welfare.... the rising of costs and lowering of quality.

All will happen.... a real piece of work you are.

And that post is 100% accurate ... which is why you don't address it directly.... which means you DON'T CARE
I think it is you who are misinformed. Your information is biased, and taken out of context to support your political ideals. It's hard to find "news" now-a-days that doesn't come with it's own conservative or liberal spin. Gone are the days of the objective reporter. This article was written by a noted conservative for the consumption of conservatives. I love how they cherry pick parts of the bill line by line and then speculate on what it'll mean for the future. I bet you have fox news on 24/7 and then just regurgitate their nonsense talking points. It's hard to take anything seriously that comes out of the mouths of obviously un-objective people promoting their own agenda.

On the issue of healthcare reform...some parts of the bill are good, some are not so good. I think it's too watered down and too many concessions were made to placate the right. I think there should have been a public option just to give the big insurance companies some competition. They're all in collusion with each other..they all price fix and they all set the same policies to benefit their bottom line, not the well being of the population. With competition comes better efficiency, lower prices and better service. That's true with any industry. I don't think you can make the case that NO reform is needed...right?

How is having a rfid device installed in your arm laughable?

You're the only one laughing, so that must make you the retard.
No one is laughing about our freedom of choice being taken away.
So, some people are having these chips implanted (who knows why), along with pacemakers, etc.. And, the gov. wants to monitor the safety and effectiveness of these things. What is it that you're upset about? I get the impression that your interpretation is that the gov. is trying to make people get implants or something.

 I always consider the source Stoney!!

I'm friggin Paul Revere over here...and these colonists are shooting at me as I ride by warning them of impending disaster!!

Ol Paul was a successful guy...he had plenty of dough...he didn't have to make that ride....he could've just as easily lived well off with British occupation, but Ol' Paul did the right thing. He was a patriot.

Those that know me...will see the parallel.

That's it? That's your version of logical conversation? Do you ever form an original thought or just wait for you opinion to be given to you by some pundit who takes your fear, cashes it at the bank and then spends the money on oxycodone/strippers/meth fueled gay sex?

Narcissistic personality disorder

Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.

Symptoms

Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by dramatic, emotional behavior, in the same category as antisocial and borderline personality disorders.

Narcissistic personality disorder symptoms may include:

  • Believing that you're better than others
  • Fantasizing about power, success and attractiveness
  • Exaggerating your achievements or talents
  • Expecting constant praise and admiration
  • Believing that you're special and acting accordingly
  • Failing to recognize other people's emotions and feelings
  • Expecting others to go along with your ideas and plans
  • Taking advantage of others
  • Expressing disdain for those you feel are inferior
  • Being jealous of others
  • Believing that others are jealous of you
  • Trouble keeping healthy relationships
  • Setting unrealistic goals
  • Being easily hurt and rejected
  • Having a fragile self-esteem
  • Appearing as tough-minded or unemotional

Popularity of Obama.... here's he facts...

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll

Sunday, April 11, 2010

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday shows that 30% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13 (see trends).
Sixty-six percent (66%) believe that America is overtaxed. Only 25% disagree.
Thirty-nine percent (39%) believe the Supreme Court is too liberalwhile 25% say it is too conservative. Forty-five percent (45%) expect that the President’s next Supreme Court nominee will be too liberal while 41% say the pick will be about right.
Over the past week, media coverage of the President has turned more negative. The Rasmussen Reports Media Meter is updated daily.
Check out our review of last week’s key polls to see “What They Told Us.”
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 47% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the President's performance. Fifty-three percent (53%) disapprove.
In his new book, Scott Rasmussen states that “The gap between Americans who want to govern themselves and politicians who want to rule over them may be as big today as the gap between the colonies and England during the 18th century.” He adds that “If we had to rely on politicians to fix these problems, the outlook would be bleak indeed. Fortunately, in America, the politicians aren’t nearly as important as they think they are.”
In Search of Self-Governance has received positive reviewsfrom across the political spectrum and is available at Rasmussen Reports and Amazon.com.
Yes, let's discredit every governing body without basis in order to prove our point.

Implied points do not work either, please explain why the WHO Health Care rankings are not valid. It may be hard but you have to articulate. How about the AMA who endorsed Health Care? I mean they don't know shit, they're only some of the smartest people in America.

I said Obama's ratings rose after Health Care passed, not that they were good at this point in time. After each sentence you read wait a few minutes, ask mommy or daddy for help and make sure you fully comprehend what it entails.

Oh and the only reason what Obama's ratings are so low is because of the Fox News-Rush Limbaugh-Sarah Palin narrative being spun and because you American's can be so fucking ignorant at times. Most people opposed to Health Care do not even know what is in the bill and get their misinformation from "fair and balanced" news sources.

It is amusing to watch the divide between left and right grow from across the border. Please keep entertaining me.

the WHO is united nations. the united nations are made up of people who hate the united states because we are more successful than any civilization in history.

by the way, are people busting down the door in europe to get some of that socialized medicine? not so much.

where do many heads of state go for their serious medical problems? uh humm....are you ready for this...the united states.

when you throw in hospitals in south central la, philadeplphia, chicago where the bullet riddled bodies are knee deep and ghetto whores are there to get their oxy fix....yes, our medical care looks very average. go to the rest of the country, its pretty outstanding.

edit. the ama is a political body. the numbers for doctors at last count were about 80% opposed. you should get some local papers in the US and read what real doctors are saying about this....it aint good.

That is such a typical American thing to say, "we must be ranked low cause they are jealous." No, those rankings are based on many things but jealousy is not one of them.

People in high ranked European countries do not need to "bust down the door" to receive care because they lead a better quality of life overall. The North American style of life places immense strains on the health care system.

I realize that if you are rich you will receive great care, that goes without saying. Private clinics exist here in Canada where operations normally provided by health care can be payed for to receive "better care."

I'm not saying you don't have some of the best doctors in the world, but the system as a whole is flawed. What portion of the American population live in those and other urban centres you listed? The majority.

It's easy to see why the image of American health care is so discriminatory.

This thread gives me a headache. Its been a while since i've seen an issue this charged. Time to inhale some vapor and collect my thoughts. BRB.:-|
:joint:

Ok:cool: i figured out my plan of action. I'm going to leave my computer behind and go get some fresh air and exercise, and then go get some veggies. And fresh fruit. And try to avoid this issue entirely.

Oops....wrong....again.

A group representing doctors and surgeons are suing the Feds over Obama-Care:
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) wants the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) to be overturned, according to its suit filed March 26 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
“If the PPACA goes unchallenged, then it spells the end of freedom in medicine as we know it,” said Jane Orient, a doctor and the executive director of AAPS, in a statement. “Courts should not allow this massive intrusion into the practice of medicine and the rights of patients.”
The suit is the third to be filed against the legislation in just its first week. Shortly after President Barack Obama signed the bill into law last week, a cadre of attorneys general, mostly Republican, filed suit, arguing that the mandate that every individual buy coverage is unconstitutional. Virginia’s attorney general, Ken Cuccinelli, filed a similar suit on behalf of the commonwealth.
The AAPS agrees in its suit that the individual mandate is unconstitutional and also argues that use of the 10th Amendment regarding taxation is unconstitutional.
“Insurance company executives will be enriched by this requirement, but it violates the Fifth Amendment protection against the government forcing one person to pay cash to another,” she said.
The AAPS also argues the law violates the Tenth Amendment, the Commerce Clause, and the provisions authorizing taxation. “The taxing and spending power cannot be invoked, as the premiums go to private insurance companies,” the group said in the statement.
“The traditional sovereignty of the states over the practice of medicine is destroyed” by the reform legislation, the group added.
The AAPS said that in determining the cost of the legislation, the Congressional Budget Office was bound by assumptions imposed by Congress, including the ability to “save” $500 billion in Medicare, and to redirect $50 billion from Social Security.
The group, which forecasts “dire shortage of physicians” will result from the legislation, wants the court to enjoin the government from promulgating or enforcing insurance mandates.
Anyone who thinks this bill is a good idea should ask themselves 3 questions:
1. if it’s so good why isn’t Congress, the President’s family and those who wrote the bill subject to it?
2. if it’s so good and “desperately needed in order to provide care for those who are uninsured” why does it take 4 years to come into effect?
3. given that 35,000,000 more people will be covered by it and the number of doctors isn’t going up anytime soon, how can they expect service to be any better? It’s physically and mathematically impossible. Wait times for appointments will climb, waiting room times will increase and tests we get now will be reduced.

i get tired of correcting VERY SIMPLE concepts...over & over again.

So i won't.... but the WHO does NOT use the same criteria as the United states in live births. that's just ONE hint and a partial answer.

There are more.....but the fact that you haven't even BOTHERED to find out and yet....post as if you have actual knowledge is entertaining to me as well. carry on in the shallow end of the pool. I swim quite a bit deeper however, with the big fish..

ahhhh, no. the majority of people dont live in urban settings. its funny how you guys not from here know everything about here.

we do have problems in our system. and if you read soe of the posts in healthcare threads we , the conservative/libertarians, have explained them in great detail.

the number one issue being the govt has taken the competetive nature of healthcare away. another being lawyers who continually sue for bullshit.

if you watch tv in my neck of the woods about 50% of the compercials are "have you been injured in an accident, have you been misdiagnosed, have you stepped on a nail....call us at do-we-fuckem-n-how.

they arent advertising cuz they are broke. they are advertising to get the scumbags who are continually looking for a free ride to come into the office.

but nobody is saying that we dont need some fixing. we certainly do. but i'll take this flawed system any day than go back to the social medicine i had to put up with for the better part of 20 years.

not many people going to canada for primary treatment...lots of people coming here.
