I Started coming on this site when I was 15 or 16, I'm now on my way out of high school in a few months and getting ready to start my life. Cannabis had really caught my eye from a growing standpoint. Yeah I smoke every now and again but the growing aspect seemed so very interesting to me. After two years of off and on research of growing plants I think I've finally figured out just exactly how I want to grow and what I want to use.
1. Peat Moss 1/3
2. Perlite/Pumice 1/3
3. Earthworm Castings 1/3
4. Glacial Rock Dust - calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium
5. Oyster shell flower - Calcium, Phosphorus
6. Kelp Meal -
7. Greensand
8. Biochar
50 pounds of base soil
1 cup of everything else
Electric fertilization
One tablespoon of brown sugar per gallon of water
Rock mulching
1 part hydrogen sulfide per billion in water
1 cup Milk 4 cups water + 3 tablespoons of molasses
Mycorrhizae
This is just sort of a basic list of what I think could produce great yields for me. I definitely welcome what everybody has to say from their experiences with anything that I've listed above. The more knowledge I can get the better.

also OP, why the so much brown sugar? you want your microbes to feel on your soil amendments, not on sugar all the time. I think you're off to a good start, but I think you need a few more raw amendments in your mix. Neem Cake would be a good addition to your list for sure.

There's a video I saw on YouTube where a guy used it and apparently his trichs doubled overnight, I scrolled down in the comments and another guy said he tried it and it worked for him so I thought it could be a good thing to at least try. I'll definitely look into Neem Cake

i'd suggest a botany class (may have to take bio 1 first), geology, any soil class, and gen chem. those 4 things opened up my eyes to what was really going on with organic growing. Well i wasn't even organic when i learned about that stuff. I just wanted to be a better vegetable gardener and organic was the answer. then i thought... i should be doing this with cannabis! and then i found RIU organic! Good folks over there in that forum, spend some time over there and you'll see some impressive 100% water only grows.

and regarding the brown sugar.... overnight? w/e.... if he had evidence of doing a control vs the brown sugar added over a large series of grows then I would believe it. so much of what you read online you have to be careful of how you consume that info. people see things that aren't there... we all do it. if you have healthy microbe populations in your soil... brown sugar ain't gonna do anything special for you.

Brown Sugar better Raw sugar has Molasses which is hijacked by various bacteria(maybe fungi?) for all the energy just feel that heat in the soil

often added to AACT for that same reason, but a debate does exist by the guys at the top...as to its viability

Molasses is difficult to get here so often honey/best or brown sugar is used if necessary

Both you guys have been super helpful, I think probably the thing I'm most excited to try would be working with mycorrhizae and electric fertilization, if you guys haven't noticed I'm sort of into unorthodox-ish methods of doing things.

Man thats a lot of stuff. I just go with promix organic, cow manure and miracle grow. Your mix will probably work good though. You don't have to discard after each grow either. Just mix all the dirt back up and repot it for another grow.

What are you lighting plans gong to be.

Ill throw in my 2cents id add some dolomite lime to your mix. I wouldnt use nearly as much sugar as you are. I would also use raw sugar not brown. I agree 100% on taking some horticulture and botany classes as they will help you growing and also help with future possibly.

Ideally I want to grow outdoors because the suns light spectrum is the best possible source of lighting for the plants. However if I'm not able to, just starting out I would probably use LEDS because they are the cheapest option until I can get some MH/HPS lighting. As far as my mix goes yeah I'm obviously very inexperienced so there will be a few tweaks I'm sure but that's what I'm enjoying about this, it's a learning process that I find fun because when I perfect it it'll be my own creation.

A recent study showed that milk is an effective fertilizer. I believe it was used as a mist in conjunction with the molasses and it really increased growth. I'm sure I'll end up looking this up before you reply back because you do have a life and can't reply instantaneously but what is Dolomite Lime and what is it good for? Thank you!

Sorry took so long to answer was at the MOE show last night.
In horticulture, dolomite and dolomitic limestone are added to soils and soilless potting mixes as a pH buffer and as a magnesium source. Home and container gardening are common examples of this use.

It is necessary ib my opinion.
