2 foot/ 6 tube/ t5 fixture?

anyone heard of a 2ft t5 fixture that will hold 6 bulbs? i've seen 4 and 8 i'd like to go more than four but eight won't fit..

if you are just vegging a four bulb should be alright. have you thought about led?

Hydrofarm makes a 4' 6-bulb T5 unit for about $160.00. I think the 2'ers only go 1, 2, 4, and 8 bulb I believe.

I have two Hydrofarm 2' 8-bulb Industrial units that I use together to be able to have taller plants on one side and shorter on the other, all while only occupying a 4' area total. I love 'em and so do the girls!

i'm a little on the edge about led still... i've heard good things but i've also heard otherwise...i was reading a thread about them earlier not many people seemed to post results from using them though..?

home-depot and Lowe's sell 2" t5. they come in 2 bulb ballast strips with 2 30k bulbs for 25 bucks. they are not high output. i believe they are 18 watts a bulb. they are also cooler running than high output. i use them and the 4 foot versions. they are so cool running plants will grow and rap around bulbs. you need 2 times as many to equal the high output ones. 4 footers are 28 watts for 35 bucks for a 2 bulb strip with 30k bulbs. you need to assemble them and wire them. i like them because i can spread the light around more then you can with half the amount of high output ones. you can screw ballast strips together and hang them or screw them to ceiling and walls.

i'm leaning toward the high output that i posted because each bulb is 54 watts and with the size space it's in it'll pretty much shine perfectly down on them

reread the spects on two foot t5 lights. i cant find 54 watt 2 foot lights only the 4 foot ones are 54 watt. i could be wrong let me know. it is beter to spead light around. more angles more leaves get light

i believe that says 54? it's hard to read on a few of them

it shows the part number for 4 foot bulbs. 2 ft are 24 watts. im looking everywhere for 2ft 54 watt bulbs cant find them. call them and make sure before you buy. i believe the advertisement is misleading

will do. i was going to supplement it with cfls too... i can't get away with using HID for this grow so i'm trying to figure the best alternative.

EDIT: i suppose you're right i just checked another site that said 24 watt puts out 2,000 lumens.. and the fixture i was looking at had a 12,000 lumen output...the math would make sense of that. 6x2,000

well ill keep you up to date. I am using an led to veg now. They are doing good so far.

what kind are you using.. brand ..wattage ?

i might go with the 2ft 4 tube and supplement with cfls

e-cono light. 8 bulb four foot 54 watt for 140 or 150 with bulbs and plugs!!! I know yu want two foot, but their prices are the best.

i don't necessarily WANT two foot.. the max width of the cab is 29" so theres no way i could pull that off

if I was gonna bud under a six fixture t5's I would mix in 2 6500k grow bulbs with 4 2700k budding bulbs. seems to help 'specially under floro's

I have a t5, 4 bulb 6 bub and 8 bulb, all are 4 foot. I love the 4 bulb alot. Its just about the same size as the large models.
I got my 2x4 tent and the 8 bulb fits perfectly.

stonedar that was actually my plan all along haha like veg with four grow spectrum and two bloom and flower with the opposite

jesus why dont you buy the 2" t5 from homedepot , for the money you spend on high output t5's you can get twice as many bulbs and fixtures. put most of them ontop of you grow and line your walls with them. they run real cool plants can touch bulbs and not burn. they come with 30k bulbs for flowering ,you got to buy 65k for veg online i will give a link. i use the 4 " ones , i got 12 stips and i add more when i want be conecting 3 wires. they work great. i switch bulbs when i switch light times

is there anyway to hang them? i want to be able to adjust the height

im looking at a 6 lamp 2ft T5 fixture on amazon right now in case anyone goes searching far and wide for a 6 lamp like i did. figures id end up right back here on RIU.

I have a closet that is about 26 inches deep and about 28 inches wide so a 8 lamp fixture may not fit all that great. thats why i went searching for a 6 lamp one. they arent exactly common, even tho i think they should be. its easy to slap a different color bulb in a 6 lamp. u can just think of it as two sets of three bulbs and put the opposite color in the middle of the two groups of three. if that makes sense at all.
EDIT: I just looked around a bit more. i found the same thing at other sites, BGH, HTG... and they were ALL sold out. in fact im having a hard time finding any of these instock except for the two available on amazon. bummer.
