feed 'em and spectacide and be done with it...think I said that already:wall::bigjoint:

I know dude!!! I am an A-hole, I just wanted to try less nasty options 1st....I dunno what I was waiting for. I bought spectracide today. So My battle plan is to mix it up in a 5 gal bucket and dunk my pot in there. And do that for all 4 plants. AFTER the soil dries from that, I will fully flush the plants, and then get back on my reg sched and flower those bitches. I have 2 issues tho:

1- Should I give another foliar application of azatrol, cause there ARE still airborne aphids even though I currently have a foliar burn on my lemon skunks? (pics coming this eve after work)

2- I got spectracide, but it doesnt say it contains, mathalion, it says it has Triazicide. Did I get the wrong stuff? Can I still use this stuff?

stop anything that causes burns...azatrol is systemic...just add it to your water/feed
I am an idiot for not reading labels, BUT do you think this stuff would be ok? or should I try to exchange it for the one you linked? I can't seem to figure out the difference between the two products

Good journal, just read all 14 pages. Sub'd.

I plan on growing in a same size tent, the Secret Jardin (although with 1000wt MH/HPS). Not sure if I'll grow four decently sized plants like yours or a dozen smaller ones...also this will be my first time. It sucks dude tho that you got a bunch of root rapers, I hope you flip that shit around!!

You should look into Orgonite for plant growth stimulation. People are growing tomato plants twice the actual size. PhD. William Reich said all plants thrives on positive orgone energy, while negative orgone does the opposite. This method is growing like a blazing wildfire in Africa in the farmer and fishing culture, droughts have been successfully ended, and the fruit production is three-fold. The business of orgonite over there is actually threatening the fertilizer companies. I have yet to see this work with cannabis, but if the tomato plant is of any indication, then why not? Farmers say that one piece per 15 square meters is a good start. I plan on burying one in each of my pots, although I won't do a side-by-side comparison as time is short for me right now, I just know it will work anyways from all the other comparisons I've seen.

Here's a couple articles on it:
http://www.forteantimes.com/features/fbi/3223/the_orgonite_experiment.html
http://www.pressdispensary.co.uk/feed/992156.php ... and some side-by-side comparisons

http://i40.tinypic.com/11l6812.png - "The enhanced tomato plant is getting massive and I will have to re-pot soon."
http://i43.tinypic.com/imjlvm.png - "With the chilli plants I noted that as well as being larger, the foliage was much more dense than the controls."

Sorry about going too far off-topic I just realized, but your plants look really good and is pretty much the same setup I will have bro. :) +rep
Dude, that is incredibly intriguing, I want some!!!

OK my computer and my digital camera arent getting along, so tomorrow I will surely post pics, sorry again for the delay.but today, I waged war. I ended up using the grey spectracide bottle which I had already purchased, I was skeptical and wanted to go get the malathion, but I went for it anyway because I found info greenlighting that product's use here in this good root aphid article!!!

http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=159960

So I used the spectracide "once and done" at the extremely diluted ratio of 1/2oz per 5 gallons, i did that in a home debot 5 gal bucket and dunked the containers in. Following the soil drench, I also temporarily set off a doktor doom fogger in there, It sprayed directly on my plants for a moment which I'm worried about, but I guess we'll see what happened from that tomo. I wanted to kill the vent so it would stay in there, so I cut the power for 6 hrs, it should be on again b4 work at 6am. God I hope this is the end of those bastards. If this doesnt work, then I will get the malathion, Like I said, I wanted to, but already bought the other stuff.

Ok, so 2 days late on the pics, but heres my current status, I took one pic of the lemon skunk mid soil drench, and the other 3 are back on the tent, post-drench. I am proud to say that I APPEAR to be bug free for now. I took fly tape, and wrapped it around a skewer and stabbed it into my dirt to see if any pests crawl out of the dirt up it....I did that for all 4 plants, man that adhesive on that fly tape is impossible to get off your hands!!

So next step, Flush, then flower. Should I give another round of veg nutes b4 I flip them just to replenish the nitrogen and whatever else may be lacking from the long pest battle?

Lumi, I am curious and was wondering if Eyez should wait a couple of days prior to flipping them into Flowering so when he does start flowering them his plants will be recovered form all that stuff he was doing with them? Or its no big deal you can just flip them into Flowering? Do your plants go through some sort of stress when flipping from Veg to Flower? Also what about total darkness prior to flipping? I hear a lot of people or growers putting their plants in total darkness prior to flipping to Flowering. Any advice or teachings would be great for us nOObs!!!! Thanks bro! Eyes after all the trouble and shit you been through with them bugs your plants look good man. I just hope it works and you dont have any more ever!!!!

Peace

at least 12...i went like eighteen... and they stretching...lol

namaste'
Do you mean they stretched when your dark period was too long?! I thought I was gonna bomb them with 2 days of total dark b4 I went to my hps bulb and my 12/12 cycle. but since I veg'd for so long, the plants are bigger than I had planned on them being, so I am very concerned about them getting too big, SO I will re think that if your saying they stretch in the dark.

BKB-thanks for the support main....these root aphids are serious business, I am happy to CURRENTLY be bug free, I'm prayin to the god of skinny punks that it stays that way!! lol. Your grow kept my hopes up

Bahhhh, my containers still take forever to dry!!!! I did put tons of perlite in my soil mix, but to me, it seems like they are behind the norm on drying time. I did my soil drench on saturday yet my containers are still heavy as hell. Possibly b/c the aphids destroyed my root mass and I have to start growing them all over? I want them to hurry and dry so I can flush and flower already!!!!!!!!!! I know there are tons of variables, temp, humidity, soil type...etc, but all things considered, this just feels like too long....my temp is at 75-79, humidity around 30%

Does this seem like longer than average for containers to dry for anyone else? it seems like it might go on 1 1/2 weeks at least for my pots to dry out!!

then apparently your pots do not drain properly as in your soil mix wasn't light and airy enough to borrow that worn out term

They stretch and will stretch is all I was implying...I like the idea of going longer than 12 on the first dark period especially since I ran 24/0 through veg

Namaste':leaf:

It takes mine 1-2 days to drain 5 gallon pots dry

I will take a pic of the bottom of my containers. it doesnt seem lacking in drainage holes to me, but I'd like your opinion, b/c this is just taking forever, and I feel like I put lots of perlite in

Ok I also was theorizing that my poor drainage issues could also possibly be due to the fact that my roots just got destroyed by the aphids, and thats why the soil takes forever to dry. Seemed like it would make sense....So I pull the plants out of the container to look at the roots, but I cant tell if they look shitty or not, lol. Do these roots look wasted to you, or is there still hope?!
