AHhhh, SOOOOOOOOO Root aphids are back. Sorry, once again my momentum was jarred to a hault..... However, After much self debate, I just decided to try and finish em anyway, and I finally took pics too, lol. Im 3 weeks in on flower, so I am really almost half way there, and if I flush for the last week or 2, then I really only have like 3 more weeks of feeding nutes. So I really am just hoping those aphids dont completely infest the tent. Sure I may lose yield, possibly quality too, which is more of a bummer to me, I probably wont be getting ferrari buds this cycle, lol. So, on to the plants:

The roots i think are only still coming back, becuase the stinky's still take about 4-5 days in between waterings, but those lemon skunks took 16 freaking days!! They never got droopy, just light enough that I decided it was time. I am using rhizotonic, cannazym, and roots accelurator, but they just arent taking off. Surprisingly tho, when I flipped them into flower, The lemon skunks budded right away, much faster than the stinky's which are only now building a mass, but even early on, those skunks had solid density at the base of its extremely wirey white pistils. So confusingly, despite the poor foliage on the skunks, and the poor drainage issues, the plant is budding like its going out of style... even though the stinky was the one growing more healthy the whole time. I have a feeling its buds will catch up. k, on to the pics, AND SORRY FOR THE DELAY PEEPS, I will try hard to stay on top of it, I dont know why Im slacking!!

Stinky is in the 1st 2 pics, lemon skunk in the 3rd and 5th pic

I used it, and there were no signs of them for a solid 2 weeks.... I was pleased, but now they are back and I'm half way into flower so I'm apprehensive to use it. how long would that be in the plants?

You think that its not too far into flower to use that? Also, does that kill my beneficials too?

ahhh, I am apprehensive, the plants are still doing decent. Maybe if it gets really outta hand. I fully dig your advice, and next time wont hesitate to get on it with the malathion. I just dont want to shock my roots or wipe out my beneficials again so soon. So if i can let it ride, I am gonna try

Ok today I am roughly 4 weeks into flower. Every time I open my tent, I realize that its not as bad as I mentally pictured it. I seem to over exaggerate the problems in my head. I will post some lemon skunk pics soon, but my back is bothering me and they were in the back, I just moved one "stinky" to take pics, thats all for today, but they are actually starting to impress me finally!! I think I may introduce some Humboldt Honey soon to give em some extra carbs

Newest pics.....buds looking good, leaves are yellowing tho. There is plenty of nitrogen.......I think the aphids may win this one.....
The leaves naturally yellow as the plant matures... personally, I'm not out to grow leaves, I'm out to grow buds! I chop those puppies off just like it was a REAL grape vine... lol :) I want all my nutes and energy to go to the buds and make that lucious goodness hehehe...

Plain ol black strap mollasses does the trick for me... yummm!

Hey no worries on the slacking! I have been slacking as well, but wanted you to know thanks to reading your journal, I managed to save 2 outta 10 2nd gen babies (already dried n smoked lol yummm), and I was able to save all 30 of my 3rd gen! (topped all the big buds, drying currently hehehe) Those Hot Shot pest strips are the BOMB! lol... I am planning to re-veg all those now and make them the 4th gen since I did not get any clones this time cuz of all the problems. Keep up the good work, I have had major setbacks in my health as well... shit that makes it hurt to tend my garden uggg lol... I have a million new pics to post and tons of journal updates to make but harvesting this huge ass crop takes precedence... lol... But I tell ya, this is better freakin total body-numbing pain relief than I have ever paid for!!! I looooove my Grandaddy Purple! lol... Take care, SweetBud

Eyez, your plant looks fine to me...yes the fan leaves are yellow but the new growth and bud sites are green and growing. You should continue giving your plants "N" during flowering just taper it down as it gets later in flowering. Not sure about those damn buggers, I recommended back when you 1st had them to just cull the plants and start fresh but you seem to put a lot of work into the plants and they are looking well. Keep them going and keep giving her "N" while you raise the "P" and maintain the "K". I am not sure what your last feeding was or what you fed her but thats what I think will work. Dont know if you remembered how yellow my plants were from under feeding the nutes cause I was not giving them the proper mixing. LOL I am back and been gone for awhile, hanging in Vegas with my cousin. Got wasted and had a blast!!!! I lvoe Vegas.

Peace

BKB- Thanks for the encouraging words, I really do appreciate it. These stinky's are for sure happy, despite all that has been happening. The Lemon Skunks were never thriving, I think that strain just doesnt like my set up, haha. Just FYI, I totally have been still giving N, never stopped...and in retrospect, I think that alot of my leaf discoloration issues could have been solely due to the root aphids which supposedly have misled many to beleive they have some sort of "phantom deficiency"

I will now post pics, the 1st 3 are of the lemon skunk, super yellow leafs, very "hairy" buds and not much trichome developement. The stinky is pretty much the rest of the shots. I am still very excited to finish the stinky, thinking it could still possibly reach my high standards, hahaha

Thanks Guys!!! I dunno what happened to those stinky's, but they are for sure dusted, I am just basically one month in, so I am very pleased with how they look...I feel like they are even better than they should be for just week 4. Now I'm regretting trashing my clones. I scrapped my whole veg one day when I was frustrated with my 'pet' aphids. now I'm bummed that I didnt keep the genetics. Isnt there a way to like 'supercrop' by cloning a flowering plant and flipping it back to veg? or any way just to re-veg a cut at all?

Called monster cropping but it is much more difficult to clone in flower but it grows branches like it lost its mind...lol....would be easier to partial harvest by retaining most leaves and little baby buds green and healthy then put her into 24/0 light to throw her back in veg and then clone the newer lower shoots...will be much easier to clone similar to any other clones

Hope it helps

ya, awesome idea, do you know how long it takes to "re-veg"? I wanna bleach my whole room and ditch these bugs asap, just wanna get clones then destroy all that remains, haha
