sorry Ive gotten lazy about using the yardstick, I know it annoys me when I see something but I have no idea of the size...
the bagseed(first set of photos is about 40 inches tall, maybe a couple inches more, the Iced GRapefruit(second set of 3 pictures) is about 36 inches tall I think, see thats kind of my point in the flash pictures they look really full , if you saw them in person they dont look nealy that nice, I mean theyre healthy and everything but the flash exposes so much more of the plant and being 2-D photos it tends to flatten the picture so in pics it looks much fuller thanin real life...

Chopped the drowning Easy Ryder today! I am out of the easy ryder business...
This was the easy ryder that had much smaller problems, same issues but to a much smaller degree than the other one, also this one didnt get supercropped and I didnt sample any buds off it... trich coverage was maybe 10%, could have waited but not having that light on 20 hours a day lessens my wifes worrying :)
OK, heres the before and after:
EasyRyder2_Before.JPG and after... EasyRyder2_After.JPG
total was 140 grams wet
edit: it was day 80 for the easy ryder

so to summarize... I have 2 screens of Easy Ryder drying... one at 90 grams wet(semi trimmed) and 48 hours drying today and the other was drowned for 24 hours in the dark, trimmed well, 140 grams wet 24 hours drying today

and yes, the drowned one stunk to high heaven while I was trimmimg it, more so than the undrowned one

I just moved the trimmed drowned bud into its old growing cabinet, with no light on obviously... put my thermo/hygro sensor in there to see what happens, after about 5 minutes the humidity went up a point and a half... too cool up here though(69 F) need to look for space heater to bring temp up a couple degrees, I can just have it blow into the intake port of the cab I guess

pics of my 3 remaining plants later... not much to report, all 3 are just chugging along, getting older, just not fast enough! buds are drying, gotta get a couple of mason jars today, 3 days drying for the first batch,2 days for the 2nd batch, humidity goes up to around 65% in the cab I let it sit at that for a couple hours then exhaust the cab to bring it down to 54% which is what the room is... sound ok? anyone? I'm just kind of playing around with this batch, didnt trim the first batch but did trim the second batch so I can see which I think is easiier, have the first batch just on a screen in a dark room, second batch is in a small dark cabinet

bagseed_10_24.jpg and a closeup bagseed_10_24Close.jpg
next up Iced Grapefruit in its 6th week of flowering:
IcedGrapefruit_10_24.jpg you can see the yardstick for size, sitting at ghe top of the potIcdeGrapefruitClose_10_24.jpg thats a side bud that seems further along than the main one
and now the quiet chiild...no issues,no problems, barely able to nute burn it a little and I had to work hard at it...
Coletrain, very much more indica than the Iced G. the bagseed is in betweeen... leaf shape speaking
Coletrain_10_24.jpg supercropped a few weeks ago so thats the main cola at back(same as the grapefruit)
size is same height as iced grapefruit, 4 weeks flowering I belileve

thanks, its been a fuss free plant so far, a little nute burn but eh...responded wel to supercropping, still have the main cola and 8 very identical side buds, about a quarter of the size of the main one..

batch one of the easy ryders has been drying on a screen in a dark room for 48 hours, feels like time to jar later today...grassy smell very strong
batch 2, the drowned in the dark for 24 hours one, drying 36 hours in a cabinet ... pungent odor, fruity skunky, not grassy at all

it seems in the cabinet, ti gets up to 62% rh... then a while later I get a huge whiff of smell and the rh has dropped to 59%, just did it again, huge whiff and the rh has dropped to 57%... odd.. fan in cab not running, but there will still be some air exchange, temps at 73F

Nice plant. The 22cm is about tallest you can reach with ER. Nice buds, i think you succeeded with ER.

when I dry my buds i really dont give a damn about humidity and such. I just wack em in dark wardrobe closet which is a bit colder than the room temperature. Also, i trim all my buds before drying because then I use the trimmed leafs for hash making. You will be surprised how much crystal dust you can collect from trimmed off leaves! I take a clean white bucket, i stretch the women's tights (socks) over and then crumble leaves that you have trimmed off. Of course first you have to dry those leaves to maximum so that crystals can be spearated from the leaf when crumbled on the sock. I do this every time if I have indicas especially.

well, if its onky 2/3 as good as the writeup Ill be happy, read a couple of smoke reports, supposed to be pretty potent, looks like it would be good in a scrog, like I said I have llike 8 small colas, all identical in size, theyre 1/3-1/4 the size of the main cola Id say

Bob, if you can keep the humidity higher 65-70 for a long slow dry(a week or two) you'll be happier with the product. A quick dry will give you that grassy hay smell, and its tough to get that great smell back. A higher humidity during drying and curing will retain more of the smell.

Just make sure to have adequate air circulation to prevent mold from getting a foothold, but not too much as to speed up the drying process. Make sure the buds are not in the way of the fan though. That will dry them out too quickly.

ok, Ill try that with the next batch.... odd that you should mention mold...sigh...
was inspecting the bagseed really closely and started puling the main cola apart, well not apart but really bending it good so I could see all thru it and...voila! mold in the very center of the middle of the cola... chopped the cola well below the point of moldification
picked 2-3 good sized buds form the main ciola that were clean, theyre drying right now..... left the rest of the plant, still plenty of buds on the side branches...
changed around the fans in the closet to increase circulation... the Iced G looks good, I have to say that bagseed cola was incredibly dense...seriously... like a frigging rock, didnt surprise me that it got mold after I took it apart, a wonder any oxygen got in there :)

Discovering mold is the surprise you never want. I had a touch of it on an outdoor plant recently, but I discovered it quick enough before it caused any major problems.

If you ever grow out the N. Haze seed, you'll probably not need to worry about mold. Ive had humidity get up to almost 80% during lights out and Ive never had problems with my Skunk Haze during flowering.

You should look into HAF(Horizontal Air Flow) that greenhouses utilize for circulating air. It would likely be ideal for drying buds.

sounds interesting, I'll check it out, you always come up with good links, I appreciate it...
the nevilles haze really interests me, I may try it, depends on how my Iced grapefruit turn out, remember this is mostly for my wifes anxiety/panic atatcks/depression .... Ive got the IcedG which seems pretty sativa dom, and Coletrain which is heavily indica
anyway...update...
IcedG is doing well, definitly hitting the ripening stage more brown pistils every time I look, a couple of the smaller buds are over the 50% mark so I can see maybe a couple weeks?
main cola(about 5 inches of it anyway) and closeup of same..
