Put the lights closer and pack more dirt up around the stretched stems . Make sure you have a fan blowing on them to strengthen and thicken them up .

well im going to be putting another 125w cfl whitch is just two for vegging out 4-6 plants....Is that a good starting set up?
Are Those Equivalents or actual wattage?

If they are actuals you can start out with that but no matter what you will need some side lighting. If it is 4 plants you can get away with 2 125w's and some side lighting but if it is 5 or 6 you will probably need 3 125w's and some additional side lighting.

CFL's dont penetrate foliage like HID's so you will always need side lighting. You will probably have to adjust lights every day or few days to accommodate new growth.

6/30 Day 48 - Day 9 Flowering

Just as I suspected Droopy was definitely a Male and is no longer with us. Even though I am extremely bummed out by it I still learned quite a bit and am happy to have 2 healthy plants; albeit 1 in flower and 1 in veg.

Sun Shine is looking good. I had some yellowing of the lower leaves and I am positive this time it was a Nitrogen deficiency. I flushed the plants about 5 or 6 days ago because I had major ph issues and have given any nutes in quite some time because of it. I used Earth Juice 1/2 dose (Grow instead of Bloom; because I needed N), 1/2 tbsp. Blackstrap Molasses and reg. dose Super Thrive because I just recently transplanted "The Toasted One".

It takes quite a bit of work to stabilize the PH with these organic nutes and it caused me quite a bit of grief.... that was until I purchased a digital ph tester. I highly recommend them to any serious grower. It gives you the ph to the 1/100 so it is very accurate.

Well here are the pics.

7/3 - Day 51 - 12 Days Flowering

100% FEMALE!!!!:joint::mrgreen:

Thats Right, Sun Shine is 100% female. I am happy I atleast have 1 for sure female. I have the beginning of buds and numerous white hairs showing around bud sites.

One thing I have noticed is the plant has become much more thirsty and seems to be needy for nutes more often. I am still using Earth Juice Grow/Bloom teas with molasses and superthrive added. I will probably be purchasing the full Earth Juice line (Catalyst, Microblast, Meta-K). I believe I might have some micro-nutrient deficiencies from past PH problems and heaving flushing. 1st Timers Mistakes AHHH!!:?

I recently half-ass-edly started to LST "Toasted One". Since I topped it after the toasting it seems that it has shot straight up for the sky and was starting to get a little more tall than I would like at this point. I decided I would give my first shot at LST but did it kinda rushed so I may need to adjust soon. It is interesting to see the differences between the first two plants that I did not top and this one. I definitely see the the advantages of topping when done correctly.

The Pics.

7/6 - Day 54 - Day 15 Flowering

I had company in town last few days so I was unable to check on plant for a little over a day. When I did get time to check it out I was kinda disappointed to find that many of the lower fan leaves had turned yellow and a few that had been slightly yellow before had died off. I also noticed that every fan leaf branch is a red/purple color. All articles I have found point to typical N-P-K deficiency with emphasis on N. I went ahead and added some Earth Juice Grow for extra Nitrogen. Hopefully this will help alleviate my problems with Sun Shine.

Toasted One seems to be adjusting to LST very well and is growing steadily. I am seriously considering transitioning over to Flowering soon so I can free up that room for a new batch of plants.

Yh your lights would be great man i dount you even need the small 23w blubs as they are only around 1300 lumens which for real wont be helping your plant much the big ones are .
i got the same ones
1 x 125w (12000)lumens
2 x 85w (5500)lumens

The Lumen output doesn't matter when growing in a cfl box. Just make sure the lights are as close to the plants as possible and spread them out so the entire plant is getting light not just the top and 1 side. 23watt CFLs are perfect for side lighting because the heat isn't enough to burn the plants. Just remember CFLs produce most of their light from the side of the bulb.
